Massachusetts School Offers to Allow Pledge of Allegiance -- but Not in Class

Student Sean Harrington appears to have won his fight to bring the Pledge of Allegiance back into his Massachusetts high school-- except the principal's proposed solution leaves the daily honor to the nation's flag literally hanging in the hall.

Charles Skidmore, principal of Arlington High School in Arlington, Mass., has offered to allow students to recite the pledge before school begins -- but in the school's foyer and not in the classrooms, as 17-year-old Harrington had hoped.

Kathleen Bodie, Arlington superintendent of schools, told Fox News Radio that “The principal wanted to be very respectful about the pledge and be sensitive to the Supreme Court ruling that students are not forced to say the pledge. He wanted to be sensitive to the diverse group of students we have.”

RESTREPO - Documentary Film of US Soldiers in Afghanistan

UPDATE: Tim Hetherington, co-director of the Restrepo documentary, was killed in Libya on April 20th, 2011. We extend our sympathy to his family. He will be missed by many.

Restrepo is a 94-minute documentary film directed and produced by Sebastian Junger and Tim Hetherington who produces a documentary with no interviews of generals or politicians or ideological dialogue, but instead reveals on camera, moving and still, the day-to-day life as a soldier among members of an American platoon assigned to a post named after PFC Juan Restrepo, an American medic killed in action and also the name of the film – Restrepo; presented by National Geographic Entertainment, an Outpost Films production.

Tim Hetherington, an experienced war photographer used 150 hours of video footage to make the 90-minute documentary that puts the viewers with the soldiers in combat action, patrolling, rests periods, meal times, and dealing with  boredom at the isolated outpost in the Korengal Valley of Afghanistan.

Russian Spies Under Deep Cover In Suburbia

The British papers tend to write better articles about U.S. news, so here's one from the Daily Mail.  The Russians went to a great deal of trouble to plant these spies amongst us in the 1990s.  If the Russians could get away with spying on us for this length of time, it makes me wonder how many Islamist spies might be mingling with us, and how high they might have bored into the U.S. government.

Russian agent posing as suburban mother used British passport to spy on U.S., claims FBI

One of the women accused of being a Russian spy in the U.S. travelled on a British passport, according to the FBI.

Tracey Lee Ann Foley, who was posing as a naturalised U.S. citizen born in Canada, is believed to have been given forged British documents by her Russian handlers.

She used them to travel to and from Moscow with greater ease, the FBI has claimed.

The Foreign Office said today it was investigating the claim.

If true, itwill undo some of the work that Prime Minister David Cameron did during the recent G8 and G20 summits to improve relations with Russian president Dmitry Medvedev. 

The arrests are already likely to cause huge diplomatic embarrassment and chill relations between Mr Medvedv and U.S. President Barack Obama at a time when they had been thawing.

Today Mr Obama refused to answer questions over the arrests.

How ironic that, on the day former exalted cyclop of the Ku Klux Klan Democrat Senator Robert Byrd died, the US Supreme Court ruled unconstitutional the gun control laws that are embedded firmly in the Democratic Party's racist roots.

At the heart of the McDonald v. City of Chicago case that is posted on the US Supreme Court's Internet site is the Court's decision that the Fourteenth Amendment to the US Constitution - that was pushed through by Republicans after the Civil War, led by Republican Senator Charles Sumner - is the anchor that binds state and local governments to the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms for self defense.

Otis McDonald, one of the plaintiffs, is a black man who just wanted to have the right to protect himself from criminals who terrorized him in his home with frequent break-ins. The only current black US Supreme Court member, Justice Clarence Thomas who was appointed by Republican President George H. W. Bush, courageously delved into the racist origins of gun control laws to demonstrate that such laws have no place in a nation of free people. The liberal justices on the Court, including Justice Sonia Sotomayor who was appointed last year by Democrat President Barack Obama, voted against the black plaintiff and his fellow Chicago residents.
 
The McDonald case provides a bird eye's view of the history of Democratic Party racism. Referenced in the Court's opinion is the 1856 Republican Party Platform that includes language about the "right of the people to keep and bear arms." A key source used by the Court is the book "Reconstruction: America's Unfinished Revolution 1863-1877" by Dr. Eric Foner whose biography can be found on the Internet.

What do you say? Should We E-Verify Obama?

Today the Senate begins consideration of the lifetime appointment of Elena Kagan to the U.S. Supreme Court.  Critics have said that her judicial record is non-existent, and there are few clues to how she will rule on the country’s highest court. However, her past actions do signal her views on one of the most important issues likely to come before the Court in the near future: a state’s right to play a role in the enforcement of immigration laws.

Here is what we know so far:

In 2007, the state of Arizona passed an immigration law that allowed it to revoke the business licenses of businesses that knowingly hire illegal immigrants. This provision was challenged but upheld in both the district court and even the notoriously liberal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Most recently, the Obama administration decided to challenge the 2007 Arizona immigration law and has asked the Supreme Court to overturn the provision.

Let us remember another day.  Health care was all the rage (at least in the press), and leading "conservatives" were leading the third way.  Newt Gingrich was working with Hillary Clinton on a more gradual route to universal health care, according to the New York Times and other sources.

"Conservative" Mitt Romney was building the Massachusetts universal health care along "business" principles fresh from saving the Olympics.

Now what?  Well, Obama, the Tea Party, and Sarah Palin have lit a fire in the country, and every politician of every stripe has taken notice.  And guess what: Newt Gingrich is all about repealing universal health care.  Mitt Romney is all about anything other than what happened in Massachusetts.

If the financial reform bill passes, the bad Wall Street will win, the good Wall Street will not. And investors and American families will lose.

As I explained in my article, The Dodd “Financial Reform” Bill Lets Obama Off the Hook, the bad Wall Street consists of the hedge fund short sellers, the predators who loot investment capital and slow down economic growth.

New home sales have dropped by 33 percent. The unemployment picture is not improving. The stimulus bill did not work. What is happening to our economy?

I wrote in my book, Wizards of Wall Street, that we will never recover from this crisis until the 7-point action plan is implemented.

My recommendations include restricting short sale transactions, ending mark-to-market accounting completely, restoring the old financial market circuit breakers, and restoring the old uptick rule without any modification. These changes will protect invested capital and save the capitalist system.
You cannot solve a problem unless you know correctly and truthfully what caused the problem.
The elected officials and the big media lent deaf ears to my analysis and forecasts. But everything I predicted is unfolding before our very eyes.

Chairman Julius Genachowski and his Federal Communications Commission (FCC) have been for quite some time seeking to drastically increase their regulatory control over the internet.

The Chairman and the Commission lack the legal authority to do this. They have been told this by (at least) a Clinton-appointee led federal appeals court – in the Comcast-BitTorrent case – and a bipartisan Congressional contingent, who wrote Chairman Genachowski letters telling him to cut it out.

Undaunted, Chairman Genachowski headed once more into the breach. On June 17th, he convened the five FCC Commissioners to vote on a proposed reclassification of broadband – from the lightly regulated Title I to the much more burdensome Title II. And the Commission voted to begin the investigative process, on a Democrat Party-line 3-2 vote.

All of this was done to the delight – and the crack of the whip – of the Media Marxists.

Historical Documents Prove Vattel's Writings Were Used By Our Founders To Define "Natural Born Citizen"

Bloggers on UndeadRevolution.Wordpress.com now state they have found documentation from the revolutionary era that proves the framers of our Constitution used Vattel's writings to define the meaning of the term "natural born citizen" -- a hotly debated issue. UR is a group of university historians--not your average blogger, so their research is important. They plan to publish the results of their research either in a professional journal or perhaps a book.

Diffusing the present dangerous confrontation between Islam and the West demand rational, impartial, and cool heads to untangle facts from myth, understand the Muslims' mindset, and redress any grievances on either side.

The Muslims' perennial complaint is that the imperialist West -- all colonial powers of the past, as well as the United States of America -- has victimized them for decades and even centuries and continue to do so in every conceivable way.  The litany of the alleged wrongdoings by the West is encyclopedic.  To begin with, the West has shown utter contempt for the legitimate right of the Muslim nation by arbitrarily dividing much of the Islamic land into fractured entities, plundering its resources, and topping these crimes by installing in its midst its illegitimate stepchild Israel -- a huge thorn in their side, so they complain.  "A grain of truth is needed to make a mountain of lies believable" is an old saw.  In fairness to Muslims, there is some substance to their claims against the West.  For now, let us focust on the general mindset of Muslims, which bears heavily on the hostility toward the West -- a serious hostility that may bring about the dreaded Armageddon.

Introducing: Republicans for Black Empowerment

The word "empowerment" in this group's name reminds me of the words we hear from groups like the New Black Panthers, so I wish RBE had chosen a word with different connotations.  Nevertheless, I believe it is vitally important for black conservatives to do all they can to bring others with them into the fold.  Thus, I encourage you to introduce others to this new Facebook group.  When you follow the link, you will find they are attempting to start state chapters.  Maybe you could start one as well.  In addition to Glenn Beck's Founders' Friday programs, this group hopefully will spread the good word about conservativism, and change the minds and hearts of friends and family.

Next to terrorism, one of the biggest threats to our nation is the divide between the races that was created by Democrats and their ilk.  As I learned by watching Beck's programs, Democrat President Woodrow Wilson took the leading role in destroying race relations.  Click the above link to understand more about his role.  RBE and other conservative groups like this one offer a constructive way to change our world for the better.

• It would be naughty to ask you about litigation heading for the Supreme Court concerning this: Does Congress have the right, under its enumerated power to regulate interstate commerce, to punish inactivity of not purchasing health insurance?

So, instead answer this harmless hypothetical: If Congress decides interstate commerce is substantially affected by the costs of obesity, may Congress require obese people to purchase participation in programs such as Weight Watchers? If not, why not?

• The government having decided that Chrysler's survival is an urgent national necessity, could it decide Cash for Clunkers is too indirect a subsidy and instead mandate that people buy Chrysler products?

• If Congress concludes that ignorance has a substantial impact on interstate commerce, can it constitutionally require students to do three hours of homework nightly? If not, why not?

• Can you name a human endeavor that Congress cannot regulate on the pretense that the endeavor affects interstate commerce? If courts reflexively defer to that congressional pretense, in what sense do we have limited government?

Lost History: Neglected Black Voices From The Reconstruction Period

Did you know that we once had a black Speaker of the House?  Neither did I.  His name was Joseph H. Rainey.

Glenn Beck has produced a series of programs on Fox News called Founders' Friday.  In recent programs Beck introduced his audience to black patriots who played significant roles in the founding of America -- people whose names and brilliant contributions have disappeared from the history books; that is, until Texas recently revised its textbook standards.  At one time schools used The Colored Patriots of the American Revolution (1855) for a textbook.  This book is out of print but can be read on Google Books.  In the Introduction Harriet B. Stowe writes:

The colored race have been generally considered by their enemies, and sometimes even by their friends, as deficient in energy and courage.  Their virtues have been supposed to be principally negative ones.  This little collection of interesting incidents, made by a colored man, will redeem the character of the race from this misconception, and show how much injustice there may often be in a generally admitted idea.

In considering the services of the Colored Patriots of the Revolution, we are to reflect upon them as far more magnanimous, because rendered to a nation which did not acknowledge them as citizens and equals, and in whose interests and prosperity they had less at stake.  It was not for their own land they fought, not even for a land which had adopted them, but for a land which had enslaved them, and whose laws, even in freedom, oftener oppressed than protected.  Bravery, under such circumstances, has a peculiar beauty and merit.

It is to be hoped that the reading of these sketches will give new self-respect and confidence to the race here represented.  Let them emulate the noble deeds and sentiments of their ancestors, and feel that the dark skin can never be a badge of disgrace, while it has been ennobled by such examples.

And their white brothers in reading may remember, that generosity, disinterested courage and bravery, are of no particular race and complexion, and that the image of the Heavenly Father may be reflected alike by all.  Each record of worth in this oppressed and despised people should be pondered, for it is by many such that the cruel and unjust public sentiment, which has so long proscribed them, may be reversed, and full opportunities given them to take rank among the nations of the earth.

David Barton, Founder of WallBuilders was asked how and why these mens' names were dropped from the history textbooks.  He replied that Democrat President Woodrow Wilson was largely responsible.  When Wilson came into office, he kicked all blacks except one from their government offices.  Wilson held a Ph.D. in history and political science, and had written a seven-volume set of books titled The History of the American People.  His books reflected his racist views, and it was these books that became the basis upon which we were taught 20th century history.  

Imagine how different race relations might be today if "The Colored Patriots of the American Revolution" had not been dropped from the curriculum, and if a racist had not been elected President.  I suspect race hustlers plying their trade now would be out of business, including Barack Obama.

'Green' Energy Company Threatens Economics Professor...with Package of Dismantled Bomb Parts

Spain’s Dr. Gabriel Calzada — the author of a damning study concluding that Spain’s “green jobs” energy program has been a catastrophic economic failure — was mailed a dismantled bomb on Tuesday by solar energy company Thermotechnic.
Says Calzada:

Before opening it, I called [Thermotechnic] to know what was inside … they answered, it was their answer to my energy pieces.

Dr. Calzada contacted a terrorism expert to handle the package. The expert first performed a scan of the package, then opened it in front of a journalist, Dr. Calzada, and a private security expert.
The terrorism consultant said he had seen this before:

This time you receive unconnected pieces. Next time it can explode in your hands.

Additionally, the head of Spain’s renewable energy association and the head of its communist trade union wrote opinion pieces in top Spanish newspapers accusing Calzada of being “unpatriotic” — they did not charge him with being incorrect, but of undermining Spain by daring to write the report.

Their reasoning? If the skepticism that Calzada’s revelations prompted were to prevail in the U.S., Spanish industry would face collapse should U.S. subsidies and mandates dry up.

The political situation in Europe today is quite different from the stereotype of a continent hostile to the United States (even if Obama is personally popular) and Israel, appeasement-oriented toward Iran and revolutionary Islamism, and eagerly multicultural and politically correct.

True, it is more oriented in that direction than North America, but there is a real struggle afoot.

In many countries — notably the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Germany, and to a slightly lesser extent the United Kingdom and France — the partisan gap between the left and center-right marks a boundary of much greater significance than a decade or two ago. Although each situation is different, the parties of the left tend to be more anti-American and anti-Israel and less alert to the threat of revolutionary Islamism, as well as favor continued large-scale immigration and big-state, big-spending policies.

Take the Netherlands as a case study. After elections last month, the parties of the center-right hold 83 seats, while those of the left have 67. Since there are ten parties in parliament, talks to form a coalition government will last for weeks, especially since the two largest have only twenty percent each. In the elections, only three seats changed hands between blocs.

But the big news was the shift within the center-right — the rise of the People’s Party for Freedom (PVV) led by the controversial Geert Wilders, which almost tripled its presence from 9 to 24 seats. To his enemies, almost no epithet is too extreme to throw at Wilders. The flamboyant Wilders has been outspoken in opposing immigration, especially that of Muslims, making a sharp critique of political Islamism and sometimes Islam itself.

What is Wilders’ program? First, a sharp limitation on asylum seekers admitted into the country, and none from Muslim-majority states. No dual nationality, no new mosques, no separate Islamic schools, no wearing of burqas, and no government subsidies for Islamic media. Mosques where violence is propagated will be closed. Heavy punishment for female circumcision. For their first ten years in Holland, immigrants receive no social benefits or citizenship. At the end of that period, those with no criminal record will receive full citizenship.

Congratulations to the black Republican candidates who won their primaries several months ago, as well as on June 22nd, the most notable of whom is Tim Scott of South Carolina who received over 68 percent of the vote in the Republican Party runoff. A Charleston resident, Scott is also a state representative and previously served 13 years on the Charleston County Council. He is vying to become South Carolina's first black Republican congressman in more than a century. If successful in November, Scott would be among the first black Republican legislators elected since the 2003 retirement of J.C. Watts from Oklahoma.

Scott and the other black Republican nominees, if elected in 2010, would join the ranks of the first blacks who were elected to Congress during the Reconstruction era - all Republicans. On the list that is posted on the NBRA website are the first two black Senators and the 21 black members of the House of Representatives.

STAND UP!: The substance of McChrystal's criticism

General McChrystal’s statements to Rolling Stone magazine exposed the Obama’s administrations inexperience and lack of ability in winning the War on Terror. This was perhaps the only way he could openly disapprove of the misguided Obama Doctrine. By sacrificing himself and putting country first General McChrystal exposed the incompetence of Barack Obama and his advisors.

While this is certainly not the coup d’état many Americans feel should be on the table in dealing with The Obama Problem, by speaking honestly and candidly with Rolling Stone, McChrystal has revealed something very important… the emperor has no clothes.

The highest ranking Military leader and General in charge in Afghanistan gave Rolling Stone an exclusive behind the scenes look into the War on Terror. It is hard to imagine that the general and his staff did not know that the reporters would include their justifiable concerns of Obama’s unacceptable level of performance and ineptitude in the afghan war. Did General McChrystal knowingly commit possible political suicide for the good of the country? Did he put his own job and career at risk because he knew this is something Americans must be told about their commander in chief? The coming days, weeks and months may shed some light to this potential selfless deed.

We live in a time where politicians will say, be, or do anything to be elected. Once safely elected they do as they please, poll by poll, day by day, crisis by crisis. By using endless crisis to repay political favors and campaign donors, they become less accountable to the people and more accountable to the unions and special interests groups that put them in office. Unfortunately, this cynical political self promotion has become the new normal in today’s political discourse.

At heart, most Americans believe in the kindness of others and would gladly take a step backward so a friend, family member, or even their country could take a step forward. Americans are good people and when left to our own we generally do the right thing.

The War on Terror is a serious matter to Americans. Unfortunately, our commander in chief and those in his administration believe the utopian fantasy that America should build bridges not borders. This naïve approach to military tactics means they engage and understand terrorists instead of expelling them. From Eric Holder finding himself unable to say the Ft. Hood terrorist attack could have been the result of radical Islam, to Janet Napolitano’s ridiculous man caused disaster explanation; Americans know one thing for certain, the War on Terrror will never see victory by building bridges.

As the media narrative of General McChrystal proceeds it is almost certain that one thing will be omitted. By discussing every aspect except the actual substance of McChrystal’s criticism, the lame stream media will again protect their pie in the sky community organizer. The misleading news cycles will continue through November. In November the electorate will have the chance to set a new narrative.

If anyone could have done have more than General McChrystal to expose Obama’s incompetence they should stand up and take a bow. By risking his career to warn the American people General McChrystal echoed our voices in a message to the commander in chief; “hey Obama, it’s we the people, not me the president.”

The U.S. Treasury and Labor Departments will ask for public comment as soon as next week on ways to promote the conversion of 401(k) savings and Individual Retirement Accounts into annuities or other steady payment streams, according to Assistant Labor Secretary Phyllis C. Borzi and Deputy Assistant Treasury Secretary Mark Iwry, who are spearheading the effort.

The Obama administration, Congressional activists, Ford Foundation, and Rockefeller Foundation are engineering a new regulation and incentive for more taxes. It is amazing how much Obama has learned from studying FDR’s New Deal philosophy and Saul Alinsky – an ideology based on Marxism. The scheme is over $2 trillion dollars in bonds to be sold this year and foreign buying is on the wane. China says it has enough ‘invested’ in America. The goal is to force Americans to convert their 401(k)s, like ObamaCare, and IRAs into government-controlled retirement accounts.

The government hasn’t solved the problem with Social Security, which would be helped if it was turned over to the private sector over a period of time. Now the government wants to add yet another form of retirement directed and controlled by government. Looking at the record of Social Security and Medicare – who do they think they are kidding?

The extraction of shale natural gas is set to become a major growth industry in the United States.  Recently, Amy Myers Jaffa wrote in the Wall Street Journal that natural gas could become “the game-changing resource of the decade.” Already Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Louisiana, and other states are beginning to reap the economic benefits of a natural gas boom.  A study by Penn State University predicted that the natural gas industry in Pennsylvania alone will be responsible for the creation of 111,000 jobs and for bringing in an additional $987 million in tax revenue to the state by 2011.  Natural gas extraction has been one of few industries growing (without government subsidies) during this recession.

However, this promising “game-changer” is under attack.  Some assert that the extraction of shale gas is harmful to the environment.   Josh Fox’s documentary “Gasland,” airing on HBO this week, is full of misleading allegations, inaccuracies, and occasionally outright lies.

Obama Administration Culpable in Oil Rig Explosion

While defending his own policies President Obama has routinely been rude and sarcastic to his precedessor, George W. Bush.  Yet Obama appears to be making the resident of the previous White House look like a genius compared to his own serious misssteps in office.

Case in point -- Interior Secretary Ken Salazar's performance and the communication of priorities on the issue of oil rig safety in the Gulf of Mexico.

It seems incomprehensible that the president and other members of the administration still have jobs when it is now being reported that the federal government was apprised by BP on February 13 that the Deepwater Horizon oil rig was leaking oil and natural gas into the ocean floor.

In fact, according to documents in the administration's possession, BP was fighting large cracks at the base of the well for roughly ten days in early February.

Further it seems the administration was also informed about this development, six weeks before the rig's fatal explosion when an engineer from the University of California, Berkeley, announced to the world a near miss of an explosion on the rig by stating, "They damn near blew up the rig."

It's also now being reported that BP was asking for the administration's help on this matter long before the deadly accident and the now gushing well of tar.

As former counsel and trainer in political tactics for ACORN, President Obama used a well-known ACORN tactic, the shakedown, in getting BP to create the $20-billion escrow (slush!) fund without any law, legal controls, or binding rules to guide it on how and how much those injured materially by the oil spill (and whom among them) will be paid. Attorney Kenneth Feinberg, well-respected and well-known for heading the September 11th  Victim Compensation Fund, was appointed by the president to administer the escrow fund. BP will pay $5 billion into the fund for four years, starting in 2010.

BP announced early after the spill that it would pay all justifiable claims resulting from the disastrous oil spill. It opened 25 claims offices. As of June 15, BP approved initial payments that amounted to $63 million, expected to rise to $85 million by the end of the week, to businesses claiming $5,000 or more in damages. Why did the president insist that his own personal organization take over the job of paying claims? After all, supervising reparations is a judicial function, not an executive function. BP created its own fund, appointed its administrator, and determined how it will be staffed with a view to ensuring only qualified persons, businesses, and governments would be reimbursed for its losses. Now those decisions will be made politically.

This has gone beyond ridiculous and is now firmly ensconced in embarrassing!

The federal government — you know, those folks who are more concerned with the civil rights of terrorists than the Constitution they swore to uphold — has formally ceded our sovereignty over 80 miles of the international border between the United States and Mexico. This stretch of land in Arizona includes a US National Wildlife refuge and is, according to published reports, a corridor for human trafficking and drug smuggling. It’s apparently so bad that US officials are warning Americans not to go there.

Not to go there? This is OUR soil! In fact, much of this land is public land, which means that we the people are directly paying for this land! Part of it is a national wildlife refuge where, I’m pretty sure, there might even be some endangered species living. For the federal government to tell Americans not to go there because foreign nationals with guns might be there is tantamount to ceding our sovereignty to Mexico.

America: Graduating from God?

Last week I read a blog post that noted how prayer was banned at a high-school graduation in Indiana but not in Alabama. Then I read another news report about how another California high school changed its graduation "opening prayer" to "a moment of silence." No big shocker there.

Tragically, these types of devaluing religious news stories are a dime a dozen today. Spiritual regression is not only a trend but an epidemic.

The Fuller Youth Institute just reported that less than half (40 percent) of even church-going high-school seniors "significantly struggle with their faith and with finding a church after graduation." And other statistics show that, by the time they end their college education, 90 percent will have dropped out of church.

The Barna Group reports that only 29 percent of teenagers say they "will definitely" be attending church after graduation. That's about one in three if you're an optimist – about one in four if you're a pessimist. And about one in five if you believe these polled teenagers are either overly optimistic or over-exaggerators. Any way you look at it, the "Leave It to Beaver" family seems so passé and archaic in our times.

STAND UP!: Now is the time for choosing; Global Citizen? or Real American? by Thomas S Schmitz

Our republic is at a crossroads. We are faced with a turning point of fundamental transformation. Those in the beltway mistakenly continue to see this moral compass we are challenged with as left and right. They could not be more wrong. What we are confronted by is two opposing world views battling to the dying end for the essence and conscience of our American republic. This battle is certainly not a new one, but as history shows us countries have fallen and transformed for the worse when an exaggerated crisis is coupled with enormous debt, high unemployment, inflation and financial uncertainty.

What makes this looming conflict unique is that for the first time in modern history these two opposing world views are fantastically embodied by two unparalleled superstars on the world stage. Sarah Palin and Barack Obama actually bring to life the two embattled comprehensive viewpoints Americans must choose between. Branding has taken on a whole new meaning in our political discourse and Americans are faced with a question. Whose America do you want to belong to?

Curiously during the 2008 presidential campaign Barack Hussein Obama standing on foreign soil called for a new world order and smugly crowned himself a, citizen of the world. This self important and self bestowed title was trumpeted in the media as progressive and modern. Yet many Americans were confused and raised their eyebrows as the media worked in full force to pass off this alleged morally superior globalist philosophy as mainstream.

Now, two years later, citizens have quickly learned that our identities as Americans, and the proud love of country that unites us, are not necessarily shared by our commander in chief. American exceptionalism has been publically trivialized; foreign leaders have been bowed before, foreign countries have been endlessly apologized to and warned of American arrogance, terrorists born on foreign soil have been given rights reserved for American citizens, and our president has stood next to a foreign head of state and gleefully joined him in condemning an American law passed to protect our citizens. We have been told by our president that he desires to intentionally put the coal industry out of business for the well being of the global community, and that the world will no longer tolerate Americans driving any type of car they desire and deciding for ourselves what temperature to keep our thermostats on. American sovereignty be damned. Let me be clear; in Barack Obama’s America citizens must obtain a global permission slip before practicing American individualism.

As the Obama problem continues, the spirit of American individualism has taken human form. With her Reaganesque charm and bold American-ness, Sarah Palin is singlehandedly holding the torch of liberty. By mere existence Sarah Palin has proven that in America you don’t need a title to make a difference. This new Momma Grizzly feminist has rallied the troops from coast to coast and hand picked candidates to send to the front lines of November’s battle. Sarah Palin has enkindled a fire in grass roots common sense conservative activists and effected positive change for our country by throwing herself into the national debate and forcing delay to Barack Obama’s dangerous globalist agenda. Her role as Shadow President provides Americans with a consistent contrast to every issue the administration attempts to solve with big government globalist solutions. Sarah Palin is a constant reminder of that shining city on the hill where a smaller, smarter government lives within its means.

America’s crossroads have been clearly defined. Now is the time for choosing. Whose side will you be on? Is American sovereignty outdated? The stakes have never been higher. Do you want to belong to an America bordered by Mexico and Canada? Or do you want to belong to an America bordered by Venus and Mars?
