Taking a Stand Against Islamic Jihad

Once upon a time people could travel about and hold public events without threats of violence, especially in Europe. Here in the United States there wasn't any argument as to what the rule of law is and the law of the land: constitutional law. Our children were taught what they needed to know to become productive and loyal citizens to the Constitution and its amendments.

For the life of me, I can’t figure out why sassy gays, frothy feminists, liberals in Hollywood, late night comedians and whiny atheists continue to rail against Christians while saying jack-squat against Islam. Look, I get why Obama skips slamming Islam. He grew up a Muslim. He’s got quite the Muslim name. And … despite all of his Jesus talk and twenty-years of being under the tutelage of Reverend “Goddam America” Jeremiah Wright’s discipleship, everything he says and does screams he’s way chummier with Mohammed than Jesus. … Christianity doesn’t promote violent jihad. Christianity doesn’t auger for Neil Patrick Harris’ death. Christianity doesn’t cheerlead for the slaughter of Jews. Christians don’t regard the unbaptized in their midst as unenlightened mongrels that must bow to the Golden Rule or be killed. And Christians don’t cheer en masse when cartoonists are slaughtered for drawing cheeky cartoons about Jesus. But Islam does. For your information, here’s the worst thing a Church Lady wishes on you: If Church Lady had it her way, you’d be a repentant nice boy, wearing a Christian t-shirt, sitting on the front pew every Sunday singing Oh, The Blood Of Jesus, and voting for Mike Huckabee in 2016; and if not, well, so be it, they’ll still love you anyway. … In addition, it’s just a matter of time, with Europe’s diminishing birthrate and thinning of skin, before they’re Islam’s prison chick, mop head wig and all girlfriend. Therefore, if you truly love yourself and love your liberty, you need to fight Islam tooth, fang and claw because if Islam ever solidly takes root here in the USA, we all can kiss our freedoms goodbye.

On the campaign trail, Michelle Obama often employs the word "struggle."  It was actually Mrs. Obama's peculiar pronunciation -- "shtruggle" -- that first drew my attention to the frequency of her usage.  At the 2012 Democratic National Convention, her speech referred to some form of "struggle" nine times.  Last week, speaking in Durham, Michelle referred to "struggle" five times and as a theme of her address, prompting BuzzFeed to title its report "Michelle Obama:  Barack 'Has Been Struggling With Us.'"

[Note:  Since the Obama's use the word "struggle" so frequently, as Cindy's article reveals, it struck me that the translation for the word jihad means struggle.  Is it simply a coincidence, for two of the most important and media-focused days in the lives of the Obamas, that the family wore colors favored by the Muslim world? Was this a private signal to the Muslim world?  If Obama's foreign policy is anything to judge by, my answer would be yes.  Ed.]

While this week marked the 100^th anniversary of International Woman’s Day, which celebrates women’s rights around the world, a new pro-jihad publication is pushing for a different form of empowerment in the “path of victory for Allah’s religion and raising its banner.”

“A Muslim woman lives a tough journey today, with enemies raging at her from the east and the west. It gets to the point where Muslims are targeted as strangers,” the magazine Al-Shamikha – The Majestic Woman – tells female readers. “The enemies wish with the greatest desire to remove her from the truth of her religion and the truth of her role, because they know well how the situation will be if the women entered the battleground.”

The Majestic Woman is the latest in a series of texts speaking to the role of women in jihad, with articles ranging from “Pages from the notebook of a female warrior” to beauty tips and the five pillars of the “Majestic Woman.” The magazine also touches on material and financial support for jihad, but steers clear of military instruction and jihad training.

Imagine a bill criminalizing only those individuals who knowingly engage in what has already been defined federally as material support for terrorist activity.  Indeed, what if the bill were even more refined and targeted only the material support of jihad terrorist activity.  Meanwhile, the bill in no way regulates or affects the peaceful practice of any religion. Who would oppose such a common-sense measure? Recently, in Tennessee, we’ve seen a ‘Red-Green alliance’ between the radical left and Islamists wound into hysteria over this very suggestion—that has, very plainly, revealed them as defenders of the jihad provisions in Shariah.

This crucial piece of legislation to prevent jihadist acts of terror is being considered now in Tennessee. The “Material Support to Designated Entities Act of 2011,” also known as House Bill 1353 and Senate Bill 1028, is on the cutting-edge of anti-terrorism legislation, because it would be the first of its kind to empower local and state law enforcement to deal with the enemy’s stated threat doctrine—the law of jihad, as enunciated in Islamic jurisprudence, or Shariah.

That Muslim pressure groups like CAIR and MPAC are mischaracterizing this bill so aggressively tells us something profound about their intentions. Despite the bill’s very clear wording on protecting citizens’ First Amendment rights to peacefully practice their religion—including, of course, Islam—these Muslim groups are making two very clear statements: (1) they are drawing a line in support of the law of jihad in Shariah, and (2) are affirming that, as books like Shariah: The Threat to America have argued, Shariah is a unified theological, political, military and legal code.

The following article was found in a Kenyan publication on the very same day we are commemorating the memories of lost family members in the 9/11 attack nine years ago.  The irony of the Council's remarks beggar belief, especially when everyone knows that Christians and other faiths are persecuted in countries that have a predominantly Muslim population.  Indeed, killing Christians because they are Christians, or should I say Kafirs, is all the proof we need that it is they who are intolerant of other faiths.  America was founded on religious freedom for all.

War on Terror:  We've seen the enemy and it's not just the jihadists.  It's also our own government, which refuses to see this very real enemy.  How can we fight and defeat what we refuse to see?
