US Worst Enemy: Ourselves

Generally, Americans think that Christian persecution exists somewhere else. It is because the mainstream media, except for the Fox News network, is not reporting incidents occurring in the United States.
Maggie's Notebook website consistently reports Muslim persecution of Christians wherever it occurs; not just in the Islamic nations, but increasingly in America, Australia and Europe.
For example:
In the United States, in Columbus, Indiana, three churches were vandalized on the same night. The words most frequently sprayed were
“Infidels!” and “Koran 3:151.” The verse from the Koran states, “We will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve [or “infidels”] for what they have associated with Allah [reference to Christian Trinity] of which He had not sent down [any] authority. And their refuge will be the Fire, and wretched is the residence of the wrongdoers.”

This Time the GOP Better Enact What They Promise

In this essay of the state of our Union, the United States, I direct you to an article written byJohn Hawkins (Townhall) who echoes what I have written from time to time: The United States, through the encouragement of its founders and what they conceived in establishing the Rule of Law in the form of the US Constitution and its guiding principles set forth in the Declaration of Independence and the Federalist Papers, that We the People and its government, cannot nor should not be beholden to our tradition of tolerance when dealing with the intolerant. ...

Racial Divide: Injustice By Racial Vigilantes

Associated Press: More demonstrations in Berkeley, Missouri concerning the death of an 18-year-old black who pointed a gun at a police officer. The protests were more peaceful than the previous night, when a crowd gathered at a gas station, throwing rocks and bricks. The black community police force is mostly white.
Maybe that should change and one can see if the same civil unrest will occur when a black police officer defends himself. The problem of violence is not within the law enforcement community, but in the community for which they are sworn to serve and protect.

NORAD Santa Tracking Station

At Maggie's Notebook, you can read about the history of NORAD [North American Aerospace Defense Command] that has been continuous since 1955, when CONAD (later renamed NORAD) began receiving phone calls from children to relay their Christmas wish list.
As time went on the tradition continued and today there is a website where anyone can track where Santa is on Christmas Eve and other goodies at the NORAD official site.
Every year they ask for volunteers to perform traditional duties at NORAD for Santa Claus, who has his own website.

Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas to All.

A Drastic Change Required in US Foreign Affairs and Immigration Policies

All those young illegal immigrants who have been protected with the Obama unconstitutional amnesty are lining up for Arizona driver's licenses tomorrow. As CNS News reported:
A preliminary injunction issued Dec. 18 by U.S. District Judge David Campbell bars the state from enforcing Gov. Jan Brewer's policy of denying the licenses to about 20,000 immigrants.
Now Obama is ignoring state government rights that is clearly stated in the US Constitution and telling governors of states they have no control over vehicle licensing in their state.

Why Is Despotism Still Existing in 21st Century?

Derek Hunter, Townhall
They bring down the full power of their governments against any who dare stray from the wishes of leadership. … Worse, the law in these nations is like Play-Dough, a malleable mush that can be reshaped to suit the leader’s needs at any moment. With no free and independent press to hold leaders accountable or educate the masses, most citizens remain ignorant. They have or are given enough to get by, and some nebulous “other” is blamed for their lives not being even better. History has shown us scapegoating is the despot’s best friend. Anger redirected away from a government worsening their economy and exacerbating dependence serves to solidify the concentration of power at the expense of the individual. An already powerful and intrusive government grows even larger. … The “cult of personality” is essential for any despotic regime. It is necessary to willingly absorb the will of people without them knowing it. “Good” flows from government; “fairness” can be granted by decree; “the system is rigged” to help the scapegoat of the moment. … Having a willing partner in the co-opted press means there is no one to sound the alarm when it comes to small corruptions like cronyism. Grumblings are quickly silenced, and small corruptions grow.

Omnibus Funding Breakdown and the New Obama Foreign Policy Move

President Obama signed the 1,603 page Omnibus Appropriations Bill that totals to $1.1 trillion, after passing Congress, that will keep the government operating through September 30, 2015.
It includes an additional expenditure of $25 million for Ebola emergency preparedness and response fund.
It includes $3.4 billion to fund the “fight” against ISIS, for the air campaign and replenish weaponry already used, as well as $1.6 billion to train and equip Iraqi allies.
The Internal Revenue Service fund was cut $345.6 million and VP Joe Biden will not get a raise.

No More Bush Clan Elections

No More "Clan" Politicians
Michelle Malkin wrote an article about Jeb Bush. I not only agree with it, but also want to point out that we no longer need GOP establishment poster-boy candidates (like Mitt Romney) in order to achieve true reformation back to the constitutional republic for which the Founders created and Benjamin Franklin pessimism when he said, "...If you can keep it".

Lessons of History Ignored

History, to some, is considered boring and irrelevant; not realizing that the present becomes history in just a short time. The past can be an instruction for the path to be taken presently and in the future. There are those today who view the US Constitution as out dated, while they enjoy the freedom and liberty it created and maintained during the history of the United States.
Once upon a time in the history of the world, the Celtic culture existed in a place the Romans called Britannia. They were a people who were close to nature and to the 'civilized' Roman appeared to be barbarians, that name also provided by the Romans describing the Celtic people of both Britannia and regions in Europe and Scandinavia.

Truth: Progressive "Liberals" Can't Handle It

When one studies political history at the beginning of the 20th century in Europe, the ideas of Karl Marx becomes the political culture that extends in lesser ways across the Atlantic Ocean to the United States. Although the regimes of Hitler, Imperial Japan (fascist theocracy), Spain (Franco regime), and Italy are based on fascism; it is the political ideology of Benito Mussolini (1883-1945) who is considered the founder of Fascism. Today, in the United States, the so-called

In the News: December 2014

In recent news about the Democrat-led onslaught against the CIA for alleged practice of torturing terrorists, the Obama White House press conference was asked why it was acceptable to kill people with drones, but “slapping Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is bad”. The Senate report had suggested that the CIA had lied about their “harsh CIA interrogations”. The Senate investigation has been ongoing for five years. The CIA has tried to discredit the Senate investigation. The interrogation procedures were enacted after the 9-11 attacks. In the Senate report it states that the CIA misled Congress. Meanwhile, Obama continues using drones with the blessing of Congress.

The House of Representatives barely approved the $1.1 trillion government spending bill in a 219-206 vote. In a surprising public statement that rebukes President Obama, Nancy Pelosi stated she was “enormously disappointed” that the president had decided to embrace legislation that she described as an attempt at blackmail by Republicans. After protest from some senators led by Ted Cruz, the Senate went ahead and passed Obama's $1 trillion spending bill. Will the US government now make that amount (or more) an annual expense? It passed with a 56-40 vote after overruling an objection by Senator Ted Cruz of Texas. Ted Cruz and other senators pushed for an amendment to cut off funds to the Department of Homeland Security for carrying out President Obama's unconstitutional executive action concerning deportations. Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, blocked the measure. Spearheading the investigation is Intelligence Committee chairwoman, Senator Dianne Feinstein, infamous for her attempt to pass draconian firearm ban legislation.

No Wonder Social Security is Going Bankrupt

Adding to the fact that Congress has stolen from the SS "trust" fund over the decades, here is another reason, along with those who commit fraud, why it is going broke:
After 60 years, condemned Nazi are finally refused social security benefits. The "New Deal" has never been a good deal. Here is a video where an economist shows how much better you can be in private investment that forced social security by government cannot provide:
It's worse than you think.

Election 2014 Was a Wave Election: Will It Do the Job for True Reform?

In a term used in political science, the 2014 mid-term election was a Wave Election. It is when one political entity makes a major gain in the House and Senate. It is a phenomenon that not only occurs in the United States but places like India where a parliamentary system and one political party makes a major gain as the majority.
News pundits, like Chuck Todd, the NBC News political director and moderator for Meet the Press at NBC apparently fell asleep during that session of class. In his biography he is credited with attending George Washington University from 1990 to 1994 on a music scholarship playing the French horn, but his minor was music and his major was political science. He did not get his degree.
On election night (11/04/2014) he claimed that the mid-term election of 2014 was not a wave election:
What I would say is that everybody is holding serve. OK? It's a good Republican night, but it's not a wave.

Senator Tom Coburn Gives Farewell Speech

Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) has stepped down two years before the end of his term due to prostrate cancer. The senator gained a reputation for standing for principles in legislative matters and was nicknamed “Dr. No”. In his closing remarks in his farewell speech, he warned that he will seek to block or slow debate on several pieces of legislation before the closing of this year's congress. He also implied that Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nevada) led the Senate like a tyrant. The following video is a segment of his emotional farewell speech where he read the oath of office that few in Congress have adhered to, he pleaded for the Senate to return to the principles set forth by the architects of the US Constitution …

With Or Without Obama: Federal Government Requires Overhaul

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) is not seeking reelection and took the opportunity to speak directly to President Obama at the White House Christmas party. After pictures were taken and her family walked off stage, she turned to the president and said:
Mr. President, you need to bomb the Iranian nuclear facilities, because if you don't, Iran will have a nuclear weapon on your watch and the course of world history will change.
Smiling, he laughed and said:
Well Michele, it's just not that easy.
Michele replied:
No, Mr. President, you're the president, it will happen on your watch, and you'll have to answer to the world for this.

Another Islamic Jihad Recruit: A 15-year-old Canadian

When reading the article in the CBC News Montreal, it reinforces the insanity of Jihad.
A 15-year-old teen robbed a convenience store and after being arrested, stated he needed money for a plane trip to go overseas and join the Jihad. The article at Jihad Watch stated:
The boy told the officers that he had been living in sin as his country did not practise Sharia law.
According to International Business Times, he is the first teenager in Canada to be charged with terrorism-related activity.

GOP Wins Congress - What About 2016?

Kurt Schlichter wrote a perceptive piece concerning the GOP and presidential election 2016.
The 2016 election isn't just an opportunity to win the presidency. We need to save our country and our Constitution from the Chablis-swilling liberal elitists. So it's time to be serious, and by “serious,” I mean we will have to tell people who we like – and some we don’t – that, "Hey, you're not going to win, so get out of the way."
...Dr. Carson is a great guy with a powerful message who has no business running for president in 2016. He's never been elected to anything. He's never run anything besides a hospital.

Invasion USA: Time to Act Was Yesterday

Stop amnesty and secure border even if we have to build a wall like in China and like the Great Wall of China, is designed to keep invaders out – not keep people in like the Berlin Wall.
President Obama is not the first to have an administration that turns its head when it comes to enforcing immigration laws and protecting our borders.
Over the decades it has become steadily worse and now the drug cartel of Mexico and Central America has spread to major cities of the United States creating a crime network that also can only get worse. In addition, it is not just Mexicans and Central Americans who cross our border uninvited, but also people from countries of Islamic Jihadists and on the federal terrorist list.

Reformation of Government Must Start With Reformation of the People

John Adams wrote in Revolutionary Writings, (1763) p. 213:
Government is nothing more than the combined Force of Society, or the United Power of the Multitude, for the Peace, Order, Safety, Good and Happiness of the People, who compose the Society.
He also wrote, on page 214:
The Preservation of Liberty depends upon the intellectual and moral character of the People. As long as Knowledge and Virtue are diffused generally among the Body of a Nation, it is impossible they should be enslaved. This can be brought to pass only by debasing their Understandings, or by corrupting their Hearts.

Time To Start Sending Qualified Ambassadors

Forty-one percent of those chosen by President Obama have no qualifications of being ambassadors, representatives of the United States to foreign nations, other than being big spending supporters and political cronies, as NBC News points out:
And as Keith Koffler pointed out at White House Dossier:
President Obama, the apostle of Hope and Change is the worst offender when it comes to giving political cronies ambassadorships, notes Andrea Mitchell. Yes, Andrea Mitchell. This piece leaves out Noah Mamet, a Democratic political consultant and fundraiser who was chosen as ambassador to Argentina despite not only never having been there, but not speaking Spanish. No one else could do this job? Argentina is not a small nation. Are we really lacking in this country for people who speak Spanish?
Of course, after leaving Ambassador Stevens high-and-dry in Benghazi - who would want to be President Obama's ambassador? A matter that Congress has not fully addressed, investigated, or pursued justice since September 11, 2012.
Frankly, President Obama is not the first to appoint ambassadors just for their qualifications, but for their political loyalty.  It is just that Obama has the highest record of any president appointing incompetent people in his administration.
No matter who is president, ambassadors play an important role in representation of the United States that include diplomatic and national security issues. Hopefully they have undergone the proper security clearance background check.

The Unafforable Care Act and Economic Reality (What a Concept)

Add up what you spend on insurance companies each month.
You will find that it either matches or exceeds what you pay in rent or mortgage payments each month. Those insurance premiums cover your vehicle, your home (or renter's insurance), life insurance, and health insurance. Another reason for the Affordable Care Act's failure. It does not address the issues and reasons why health care is so costly. In the case of health care insurance, despite its high-cost premiums – they only pay out 80%, which means that you are not just paying too much per month for premiums, but when having a stay at a hospital (where it costs $500 just to walk in), you are also paying 20% of the bill.

Secretary of Defense Position and Fanning the Flames of Racism

Former Deputy Secretary of Defense, Ashton B. Carver is expected to be nominated for position of Secretary of Defense. He is a physicist with alleged experience in national security issues. If confirmed he will succeed Chuck Hagel, a former Nebraska senator who is being pushed out of office by the White House after less than two years as Secretary of Defense. Hagel is a Republican. It has to do with the escalated US military actions in the Middle East. The White House spokesman declined to confirm that Carter was the president's choice, Washington Post reported. The official announcement is expected this week.
