Army Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin Invites Court Martial By Challenging President Obama | linked by EricaThunderpaws

Decorated Army Physician Refuses All Military Orders Because President Refuses To Document His Constitutional Eligibility

Court Martial Likely, Legal Defense Fund Established

Washington, D.C., March 30, 2010. “I am today compelled to make the distasteful choice to invite my own court martial, in pursuit of the truth about the president’s eligibility under the constitution to hold office”, said active duty Army Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin. The American Patriot Foundation, a non-profit group incorporated in 2003 to foster appreciation and respect for the U.S. Constitution, immediately announced it has set up a legal defense fund and will provide Lt. Col. Lakin with a top-flight defense team. Details are available on the foundation’s website,

Civil War: Marxists Versus Constitutionalists by Keith Allen Lehman

Ignorance can be cured and forgiven, stupidity cannot be tolerated and there is no cure for it because the person does not want to be informed or actively seek knowledge.
Useful idiots want to believe in the lies because the truth is too painful to accept and that would mean having the character to admit they were wrong. To them it is more embarrassing to admit to ignorance than it is to be a useful idiot.
There is no shame in being ignorant, especially if one is seeking knowledge; but there is shame in being a useful idiot.

Islamist Gülen Movement Runs U.S. Charter Schools

Islamist Gülen Movement Runs U.S. Charter Schools | linked by EricaThunderpaws
By Stephen Schwartz
American Thinker

A secretive foreign network of Islamic radicals now operates dozens of charter schools -- which receive government money but are not required to adopt a state-approved curriculum -- on U.S. soil. The inspirer of this conspiratorial effort is Fethullah Gülen, who directs a major Islamist movement in Turkey and the Turkish Diaspora but lives in the United States. He is number thirteen among the world's "50 most influential Muslims," according to one prominent listing.

. . . the Gülen movement operates more than 85 primary and secondary schools on our soil. A roster of the Gülen schools and of the numerous foundations that support them has been released to the public by the patriotic group Act! for America. The Gülen schools are often designated as "science academies" and are concentrated in Texas, Ohio, and California -- with others scattered across the rest of the country.

Hospital Closures and Layoffs At UK's National Health Service?

In the same week Democrats forced unwanted healthcare reform down America's throat, internal documents surfaced across the Pond showing plans for massive budget cuts at Great Britain's National Health Service.

"The sick would be urged to stay at home and email doctors rather than visit surgeries, while procedures such as hip replacements could be scrapped," the Daily Telegraph reported Friday.
"Documents show that health chiefs are considering plans to begin sacking workers, cutting treatments and shutting wards across the country."

Demonizing Everyday Americans | linked by EricaThunderpaws

Demonizing Everyday Americans
by Ken Blackwell and Ken Klukowski

There appears to be a concerted effort among the political Left and many mainstream media people to demonize and marginalize the expanding citizen-based movement known as the tea party movement. This effort flows from both a fear of what these tea parties represent and a contempt for everyday Americans. But those ordinary citizens are poised to be the ones laughing when it’s all over, when democracy takes its course.

A Place to Ask Questions to Get the Right Answers: Obamacare and the Natural Born Citizen Clause

Some might wonder what does health care and the “natural born Citizen” clause have to do with each other. The answer is the survival of our Constitution and Republic by stopping the usurpation of government power.

In the context of speaking about slavery that existed during the Founding era, Obama told us that the Constitution is an “imperfect document.” It has now become apparent that the flaw that Obama sees with our governing document is much more fundamental and goes well beyond what he said related to the early slave experience. For Obama, that flaw is that the Constitution is obligatory, is a strong check on government power, and cannot be changed by just one person.

We have seen Obama brazenly ignore the Constitution’s eligibility requirements for the highest and most powerful office in the land, the Office of the President and Commander in Chief of the Military. We have seen how Obama has the audacity to be President and Commander without honoring and respecting the Constitution by showing that he is at least born in Hawaii as he claims and satisfying the definition of a “natural born Citizen” as originally intended by the Framers and Founders. That is a violation of the document he swore twice to “preserve, protect and defend.”

Court told 'citizen' Obama actually may be alien
'Under British Nationality Act … he was a British subject'

Forget the dispute over the "natural born citizen" requirement of the U.S. Constitution for presidents, Barack Obama may not even be a "citizen," according to a new filing in a long-running legal challenge to his eligibility to occupy the Oval Office.
"Under the British Nationality Act of 1948 his father was a British subject/citizen and not a United States citizen and Obama himself was a British subject/citizen at the time Obama was born," says a new filing in the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals in the case Kerchner v. Obama.
"We further contend that Obama has failed to even conclusively prove that he is at least a 'citizen of the United States' under the Fourteenth Amendment as he claims by conclusively proving that he was born in Hawaii."
The submission comes from attorney Mari Apuzzo, who is handling the case. His brief argues against the earlier document from Obama's attorneys demanding that the case be dismissed.

So This Is What Change Looks Like

So This Is What Change Looks Like

"The most dangerous special interest is Big Government and President Obama is its lobbyist."

In this video Rep. Thaddeus G. McCotter (R-MI) speaks on the floor of a virtually empty House. His voice and his thoughtful words remind me of President Ronald Reagan. He speaks the truth plainly, yet his voice has Reagan's rich timbre and cadence, resonating into your very being. Conservatives would do well if they would call upon Rep. McCotter to speak for our values. Republican leaders--are you listening?

Meet Bob Basso, our YouTube "Thomas Paine" Patriot | by EricaThunderpaws

Tea party participants know and love the passionate portrayals of Thomas Paine, author of Common Sense, whose persona is played by Bob Basso in numerous YouTube videos.  He also appears at tea party rallies across the country.  Our 21st-century "Thomas Paine" has kept the fire under our feet, and continues to inspire us into action.  Like Thomas Paine, Mr. Basso's beautifully modulated voice speaks plainly yet powerfully about the problems we face today and how we must defend our values and our Constitution.  Indeed, Mr. Basso's acting is so convincing that you imagine the real Thomas Paine stands before you.  In a sense, he does, because Bob Basso lives and breathes the very essence of Thomas Paine.

In the real world, Bob Basso is an actor, writer, entertainer and motivational speaker.

Recently I posted his video titled "Open Letter To President Obama." Afterwards, I found Mr. Basso's personal website and sent him a simple question. I asked him if he truly believed the words he spoke in those videos. To my surprise, he responded with a thoughtful letter assuring me he does. He also explained how he learned about Thomas Paine, and why Paine's message resonates.

With Mr. Basso's permission, I am reprinting his letter to me so that you, too, may know him better.

Dear Erica,

I welcome your question, my friend. It's a penetrating one. Direct and unpretentious. It deserves nothing less than a direct response.

I write and I speak what I mean about our country. I do so through the persona of a very old hero of mine I first met in the second grade of Catholic school when Sister Mary Allen held up a picture of an aging colonial and announced: "This is Thomas Paine, the forgotten founding father who wrote the pamphlet Common Sense and convinced our forefathers and foremothers to fight for freedom.."

I raised my hand and asked her," Why, Sister, is he forgotten?"

She said,"Because he always wrote what he believed and wasn't afraid of speaking out and some people didn't like that, particularly what he said about religion."

When you're eight years old it's hard to say why all that impresses you. Maybe it was because he was like all the men in my family, unafraid to say what they meant no matter the consequences or maybe it was just because I liked his name.

As I grew older, I read every essay, every letter, every book ever written by or about Mr. Paine. Like all men he was complex on many things but devoted his will and his talent to put difficult concepts into simple language the average person could grasp. While he was born in Theford, England, he quickly became as red, white and blue an American as the man who first convinced him to bring his thinking to the colonies. The man who gave him his first job, Benjamin Franklin.

He was an American in fact, not just words. He took every penny he earned from his writings and donated it to the freezing, ill-fed Continental Army forsaken by their own government in the ice fields of Valley Forge. He packed up several wagons and brought them badly needed shoes and socks and stayed through the winter as a recruit and aide to General Washington.

He was the first to advocate the abolition of slavery in America.

The first to speak out for women's rights.

The first to fully explain the phrase that would be the foundation of our Declaration of Independence and Constitution, "the common good".

He was the first to name our country, The United States of America.

He was always blunt, direct and very passionate about God-given rights and Natural Law.

His downfall came when against the advice of his old boss, Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin, he published "The Age of Reason" where he condemned organized religion as capturing minds and paralyzing them from thinking on their own.

He was branded an atheist, which he was not. He was a Deist and firmly believed in a supreme being. The children of upstate New York spit upon him, ransacked his home and gave him no peace.

He died in poverty, forgotten and alone at age 73 and his bones were dug up and lost for all time.

I don't pretend to have the brilliance of Thomas Paine's incisive thinking and encyclopedic recall of philosophy, the Bible and world history, but deep down I always felt I knew his passion for a country he believed was very special and blessed: "We have it in our power (in America)
to begin the world over again...."

Yes, Erica, I believe with all my heart what I say on the Youtube videos and at the over 400 rallies Mr. Paine has spoken to all over this country in the last 15 months.

I may not succeed all the time, but I try to stay focused on what my old hero would say if he did come back to modern America, and made a contribution to return this great country back to common sense, reason and respect for our Constitution.

Thank you for your question...  I hope you are an involved citizen, no matter what your political or philosophical views may be... we never earned the right to be an American, we were never entitled to it, it wasn't a destiny.... it was a gift and some gifts are worth fighting for.

Much sunshine, and may you find joy in your own  way of saying "thank you" to America.

Bob Basso for Thomas Paine

P.S.  Stay in the fight, the earth is moving, the tide is changing. America is a second-chance land
of opportunity and now all of us who gave up being citizens to become consumers have a second chance to finish the work of the first American Revolution by becoming citizens and patriots again with a non-violent Second One to return our country to our core values...and we will not be defeated. Much good fortune in your grass roots movement.

Terrorists Hiding in Plain Sight? | by EricaThunderpaws

A few months after President Obama was sworn into office, Michelle Malkin reported that the Department of Homeland Security had published an assessment suggesting potential rightwing extremism following the election of America's first black President. Needless to say, conservatives were justifiably outraged, and rebutted the presumptions suggested by Secretary Napolitano in that report.  Secretary Napolitano responded to that criticism with a press release.

Remembering rightwing extremism report, and recently bumping into a different terrorist assement, it occurred to me that it might be interesting to read other reports as well, so that the contents could be compared and contrasted.  To that end,  I found several government assessments written between 2001 and 2009. You'll find pdf copies below the fold, including the report Michelle Malkin wrote about.  After reading these reports, I would be interested in hearing your views on these assessments.  Do you think these assessments are right on the money or way off base?

If you know of other government reports that I missed, please share those links with us in the comment section.

Liberals today, those who have traditionally considered themselves so, have chosen a new name for themselves: Progressives. It is befitting. It is also a code word for progressive-Marxism. It also is a one word descriptive of their progressive endeavor to dissolve religion, especially targeted toward Christian principles; break down moral and family values (and thus the family nucleus that makes all nations strong); and corrupt our children to where the state and special interest groups have control over the upbringing of America’s future - OUR children. After all, if the parents will stubbornly refuse the progressive’s steps toward a New World Order, than the next or succeeding generation will comply.

Rule of Law and Why It is Important | by Keith Allen Lehman

If one were to narrow down in a few words the division in America today and the fight against subversion in America, it would be simply: Rule of Law.
It is a fight against a combination of foes of liberty and We the People, by those prevaricators and usurpers who persist in changing our form of government as it was created and carefully put in place.
Those who advocate pure democracy, the majority ruling and yet paying for the minority that soon, after time becomes the majority and then everyone will pay; disregarding or circumventing the established rules in the articles and amendments of the Constitution of the United States.
A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nineThomas Jefferson

This unique oration of the Pledge of Allegiance by Red Skelton brought back memories of a man who knew how to touch people's hearts with humor and emotion. His oration brought tears to my eyes. In this short video, Red Skelton relives the story of a teacher who taught him and his classmates the meaning of every word in the Pledge of Allegiance.

We now fear our lawmakers who are themselves ignoring the law; lawmakers who at best don't understand the U.S. Constitution, or at worst, despise it.

Remember Red Skelton's profound and prescient words. I hope you will share this video with everyone you know who loves this country as much as you do, and who are fighting to return America to a constitutional republic.

Call for Help: Dan Perrin of RedState Proposes a Means to Fight Deem and Pass

This idea was originally posted on  The author has asked everyone to repost this amendment all over the internet today.  I've left his explanatory remarks so that you will understand how the amendment works and why we should do this.

“Mr. President, I send an unprinted Amendment to the desk,”

Posted by Dan Perrin
“Mr. President, I send an unprinted Amendment to the desk, and ask for its immediate consideration,” are the exact words that any U.S. Senator can say when offering this amendment on the floor of the U.S. Senate.

This amendment, below, should be walked down to the floor of the U.S. Senate and voted on prior to any vote on the floor of the U.S. House, in order to prepare the legal battlefield for the court challenge against the Alice-in-Wonderland-like-Red-Queen, Speaker Pelosi, and her dictatorial and unconstitutional scheme to pass the Senate Health Care bill without voting on it. While we are uncertain that we will be fighting on this ground, it is essential to prepare the battlefield, if we do.
This amendment, I am reliably advised, was written by a former judge on the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals who was on President Bush’s short list for the Supreme Court (Roberts beat him out) and is recently retired and is teaching Constitutional law at one of the most prestigious national law schools at University on the west coast.

So, in other words, don’t mess with the language of this amendment. Just launch it, now on whatever bill is now pending on the floor of the U.S. Senate.

Unprinted Amendment No.___ .
Intended to Proposed by Mr. _________.

Add at the end of the bill the following new Section:

“Sec.___ . a) Inasmuch as Sections Five and Seven of Article I of the United States Constitution mandate a certain process for the enactment of a federal law and do not allow a measure to become a law by “deeming” it passed by either House of Congress, it is the Sense of the Senate and its judgment that the House of Representatives is required by the Supreme Law of the United States, to vote directly and up or down on H.R. 3590 in order to send that measure lawfully to the President, if, and only if, it shall have been approved by a majority vote of each such House taken on an identical measure; and, more particularly, it is the Sense of the Senate that, in conformity with Article I of the Constitution, the House of Representatives, unless the measure is returned to the Senate with an Amendment by the House, must vote directly on the language sent to it by the Senate precisely as it was duly enrolled at the direction of the Senate by its Enrolling Clerk, certified as an Act of the Senate by the Secretary of the Senate, and thereupon transmitted by the Senate’s Messenger to the House Chamber while the House of Representatives was in actual Session.

b) It is the further Sense of the Senate that the exact words that the Senate caused to be enrolled on parchment and taken by messenger to the House of Representatives, constitute the sole document and the only document upon which Members of the House can lawfully cast their vote, whether Yea or Nay, under the process expressly mandated by the United States Constitution; and it is also the Sense of the Senate and its judgment that to do otherwise by “deeming” rather than voting would void any purported enactment, deprive it of the force of law, justify disobedience to it, and cause irreparable violence and harm to our system of government and its fundamental law through fraud, deception, abuse of power, and usurpation of the civil rights of the People.

c) This Section maybe cited as the “Congressional Voting Rights Resolution.”.

I further ask all patriots and Americans who care deeply about the U.S. Consititution to re-post the text of this Amendment every where possible on the internet. Specifically, wallpaper the web with the text of the this Amendment, today.

God Bless The Texas State Board of Education! | by EricaThunderpaws

The benefits of education and of useful knowledge, generally diffused through a community, are essential to the preservation of a free government” - Sam Houston, First President of the Republic of Texas

The great State of Texas has just declared it will no longer allow revisionist history to corrupt its social studies textbooks.

This decision by the Texas State Board of Education will have an impact across the country because Texas buys more textbooks than any other state in the nation.  Pragmatically speaking, publishers can't afford to print different versions for other states, so what happens in Texas textbooks, spills over into other states.  In the long run this means that America's children will once again learn that capitalism is good.  They'll discover that our country was founded on a value system based on religious principles.  And they'll be told again about the people who made America into an exceptional country; people like Thomas Edison, Daniel Boone, Neil Armstrong, Ronald Reagan, and others who were given short shrift by textbook authors.

In addition, the SBOE requires that teachings about the Bill of Rights must include a reference to the right to keep and bear arms.  And there's more!  Our government must be accurately described as a constitutional republic, not a democracy.  As for economics, Karl Marx and Kenyesian theories will finally be sent to the back seat, because Milton Friedman's and Friedrich von Hayek's free-market theories must be taught, not ignored.

Thank you Texas!

Obama Rejecting FOIA Requests More Often Than Bush

"Major agencies cited that exemption to refuse records at least 70,779 times during the 2009 budget year, compared with 47,395 times during President George W. Bush's final full budget year, according to annual FOIA reports filed by federal agencies."

If President Bush had rejected that many FOIA requests, the left would have been doubly bellicose and belligerant.  Can you hear the outrage?  Of course not!  We shouldn't be surprised that Barack Obama is so opaque.  He is, after all, a man with many secrets.  He's just being true to his character.

An Open Letter to President Obama: You Scare Me | by Lou Pritchett

The following two letters are reprinted with permission from the author.  The first letter was sent to the New York Times, but unsurprisingly the NYT editor never acknowledged or printed the letter, even though Mr. Pritchett served with great acclaim as the former Vice-President of Proctor and Gamble.  Lou Pritchett is a corporate legend, a respected author, and one of the world's most highly rated public speakers.  Mr. Pritchett offers this tip to those who must lead:
Dedicate yourself to the tenet that people are your most important resource and set out to create an environment that stimulates, nurtures, and challenges, rather than one which inspects, audits and controls.
The latter path, of course, is that of the statist.  President Obama should have listened to Lou Pritchett's advice, but instead he chose the statist's path.  This is Lou Pritchett's response.

SMRSTRAUSS: The Total Reveal & Their Tangled Web | by EricaThunderpaws

On February 11, 2010, I published Exposé: Obot SMRSTRAUSS Finally Unmasked!  My article revealed the prolific commenting activities of an obot who was (and still is) papering virtually every conservative blog with repetitive disinformation.  He is on a mission to defend Barack Obama’s eligibility to serve as President of the United States against those who argue that Obama isn't qualified because of his dual citizenship with Britain and/or due to unanswered questions about Obama's place of birth.

A simple Google search for comments made by, to, and about smrstrauss today returns around 20,000 hits.  In my first exposé, I did not reveal the full identity of smrstrauss, even though I knew who he was after extensive research.  However, since publishing that exposé, smrstrauss has visited my blog again with more “cognitive infiltration,” likely following the suggestions of Cass Sunstein, who now head's Obama's Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.  smrstrauss was warned that another post would force my hand, and that warning was ignored on March 12, 2010.  So, are you ready for the reveal?

Entitlement Programs - The Great Ponzi Schemes of American Socialists | by Keith Allen Lehman

In general, the art of government consists of taking as much money as possible from one party of the citizens to give to the otherVoltaire (1764)
There are those who have and are complaining about how much the United States spends on military, defense, and border security. They don’t realize that over 50% of government spending involves some social government program called entitlements.
The Left...offers an appeal to moral virtue: It’s better to pay more in taxes and to share the burdens as a community. It’s kinder, gentler, more compassionate, and more equitable. Unfortunately, as recent European election results demonstrate, nothing makes a citizen more selfish than socially equitable communitarianism: Once a fellow’s enjoying the fruits of government health care and all the rest, he couldn’t give a hoot about the broader societal interest; he’s got his, and if it’s going to bankrupt the state a generation hence, well, as long as they can keep the checks coming till he’s dead, it’s fine by him. ‘Social democracy’ is, in that sense, explicitly antisocialMark Steyn

Omega File: Back Door Administration of Barack Hussein Obama

The only thing transparent in the Obama Nation administration and associates in Congress is just exactly what they are up to.
First it was back door legislation. Now it’s back door taxation. Barack Obama and associates clearly stated in his campaign to run for president that he was going to change the way government does business, and indeed he has. Name one time, despite grievances against the GOP, that Republicans held secret meeting on legislation that had no security requirements, and the healthcare bill certainly does not hold to that category or held closed door meetings of only selected individuals by a committee to discuss how they are to get the American people to go for a bill that would increase national debt to the amount of $950+ billion and open the door for bigger government practices. Unless the plan for Martial Law is considered a security issue and not available to the public.

Shalifa Williamson: Witness to Election Fraud in the 2008 General Election | by EricaThunderpaws

If the name Shalifa Williamson is not familiar, then take a look at the Official Certification of Nomination signed by Nancy Pelosi, Chair of the Democratic National Convention, and the Official Certification of Nomination signed by Boyd Richie, Chair of the Texas Democratic Party.  Richie and Williamson’s names also appear on this alternate letter of certification.  Note that the latter two documents were written on Texas Democratic Party stationery.  In contrast, Pelosi’s certification was written on DNC letterhead.  Odd.  And why did Boyd Richie write two certifications?

The Democratic National Convention submitted notarized certifications of nomination to Secretarys of State in order to place the names of electors and/or candidates on the 2008 general election ballot.  However, the process used by the Democratic party for placing Barack Obama's name on the ballot is under fire by citizens in several states where complaints of election fraud have been filed with Attorneys General.  In the case of Mr. Richie, the complaint of election fraud states the following:
Specifically, under Texas law, if the candidate for President of the United States ("POTUS") from the major political party meets the federal requirements of the job, then election officials must print the candidates name on the general election ballot.  Under the Article II, Section 1, of the U.S. Constitution, the POTUS must be a Natural Born Citizen ("NBC").  To get Barack Obama's name on the general election ballot, Mr. Richie formally submitted to Ann McGeehan, Director of Elections, Office of Secretary of State, 2 (two) Certifications of Nomination swearing that Mr. Obama was "duly nominated" as the candidate for POTUS for the Democrat Party and had met the legal qualifications for the job.  However, overwhelming circumstantial evidence points to the fact at the time he signed and forwarded these Certifications he could not have ascertained Mr. Obama is a NBC.  And in Texas, swearing he is a NBC without ascertaining he is, for the purpose of obtaining a place on the ballot, constitutes election fraud.

Before I begin this article, I would like to direct your attention to some great collage photo artwork by Erica Thunderpaws in a recent short article that challenges Tea Patriots to come up with something that the media cannot ignore (and is peaceful dissension) and the Progressives can understand, as well as make the Obama Nation administration and his associates in Congress to understand what part of the word NO is not understood. Of course, the main issue being directed with this artwork, a picture worth a thousand words, is the Obama healthcare that is being forced down the throats of US citizens whose majority says NO! Now to the gist of what I intended to write ...

Just say NO! NO! NO! to Barack Obama's Statist Agenda | by EricaThunderpaws

Let's get VISUAL with our demands of Obama.  Remember--the media is attracted to "odd" events.  With that thought in mind,  take a close look at the two "NO" photos below Obama's face on this graphic.

This should inspire tea partiers across the fruited plains of America to get out there and do something really unusual, and do it in such a big way that the media will want to cover it even though their agenda supports Obama.

The media is bored with ordinary protests.  After all, protest marches have been a part of our culture since the 60s. Let's change the way we protest and do something spectacularly different.  Are there any conservative/independent artists, designers, theatrical technicians, or choreographers who would like to take this idea and run with it to your local tea party group?

Alternate, Efficient Energy: Isn't That What We Are Striving For? | by Keith Allen Lehman

Obama and associates push for alternate energy – cleaner and more efficient. So Americans, as resourceful as they have been since they, as Europeans, first stepped ashore on the land that came to be known as North America; Americans today are looking for economical and efficient means to provide energy, in this case, electricity. Wind and solar power has been around long enough, one would think, to fit that bill.

So, the owner of the Feathered Star Bed and Breakfast, a homey looking building whose proprietor has posted a sign that welcomes pets, unique among most inns and motels, decided to turn to wind power and install a wind turbine. The establishment was built in 1999 and opened its doors for business in 2000.

Soros and Company | by Keith Allen Lehman

According to MoneyNews, billionaire investor and Soros Fund manager, George Soros, who put up $6 million for the election campaign against George W. Bush in the 2000 Presidential Election and backed Barack H. Obama in 2008, stated that President Obama should have taken over US banks rather than bailing them out. [1] CNN quoted him saying:
The solution that he found to the financial crisis, which was to effectively bail out the banks and allow them to earn their way out of the hole, was, in my opinion, not the right solution. He should have compulsorily replaced the capital that was lost.
George Soros stated that China did a better job because the Chinese government forced the Chinese banks to increase their minimum capital requirements. He didn’t mention that China is a Marxist-controlled nation.

It would reduce the whole instrument to a single phrase, that of instituting a Congress with power to do whatever would be for the good of the United States; and as they would be the sole judges of the good or evil, it would be also a power to do whatever evil they please. Certainly no such universal power was meant to be given them. It [the Constitution] was intended to lace them up straightly within the enumerated powers and those without which, as means, these powers could not be carried into effectThomas JeffersonOpinion on a National Bank, 1791.

Stand Up ! : Keep the change By Thomas S Schmitz

This was originally published in The Team Sarah Conservative Voice March 1, 2010

One year into the controversial presidency of Barack Obama we can now answer one of 2008 biggest questions. What does Hope and Change mean? Bluntly put; Hoax and Chains would have been more accurate. By looking at his statist policies it is clear that by change the president does not want to improve our country and restore American greatness. Rather he wishes to fundamentally transform the United States of America.

We the people believe in the fundamental spirit and makeup of America. We don’t want to transform America. We want to refound America. The good people of Massachusetts sent Obama a message on January 19th. The Shot heard round the world dealt a devastating blow to the president and his unpopular policies by sending unknown State Senator Scott Brown to the United States Senate to fill the seat held by the far left for 38 years and to vote against the poisonous Obamacare health bill.

On November 2, 2010 there are 435 house seats and 36 senate seats up for reelection. As Ronald Reagan said in 1964, “Now is the time for choosing.” We must decide just what exactly is the role of government? Do we want to return to a representational form of government as our founding mothers and fathers fought for us to have, where government is on the side of the people? Or do we want to continue on the road to serfdom in Obama’s utopian statist dominion that shamelessly embraces socialism as he continues his attempt to rule over us rather than serve us. As Sarah Palin warned us in 2008, “The stakes for our nation could not be higher.”

We have our work cut out for us. The American conservative populate has been united by the Tea Parties and of course Sarah Palin. We know how we feel; we know what we must do. We must “throw the bums out” as Sarah likes to say. But how? Our first focus is the primaries. Not just for our own state but our country as a whole.

The Tea Parties and especially Sarah Palin have shown us that by donating time and money across state lines victory is much more than a possibility. The primaries are where we do our spring cleaning by weeding out the RINOs, establishment Republicans and the Dede Scozzafava’s. This skirmish can be made easier by using our online resources in these battles. With each of us uniting and making the most of websites like: we do our own vetting of the candidates to make sure they support Sarah Palin’s values and positive message of free enterprise, smaller government, strong national security, energy independence, support for our troops, American individualism, liberty and life. Our vigilance will produce candidates who are pro-America and motivated by these ideals.

Not only is now the time for choosing. Now is the time to take a stand. Take a stand for your country by sending people to Washington who want to serve for the right reasons, and demand to Obama that even though he has taken all our bills he can keep the change.

Letter to Rep. Gary Bies, State of Wisconsin | by Keith Allen Lehman

My letter to my state representative referencing my recent article:
                                          February 4th, 2010
Representative Gary Bies, State of Wisconsin

Honorable Representative Steven KagenUnited States Congress
Honorable Senator Russ FeingoldUnited States Congress

Keith Allen LehmanUS Army RET, US Citizen

SUBJECT: Second Amendment and State Laws

Mr. Bies:

I present to you an argument referencing a web link concerning the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

The United States is made up of sovereign states that belong to a union of states; however ALL states must comply with the Constitution of the United States and its amendments, of which the first ten have come to be called the Bill of Rights.

The state of Wisconsin does not comply with the Constitution of the United States, as some of the other fifty states by prohibiting law-abiding citizens of sound mind not to carry a concealed or openly carried loaded firearm for purposes of defense of oneself, one's family, property or the general welfare of the public. As the article that I authored at the web link clearly demonstrates, individuals have the right to keep and bear arms and that right shall not be infringed.

All states of the Union must comply and the US Supreme Court and state courts and legislators are not performing their duty on behalf of the citizens of the state of Wisconsin and the United States when they counter against the US Constitution. Governor Doyle and members of the Wisconsin legislator have violated those rights - and it is time past due that they rectify the travesty they have legislated upon the Second Amendment.

The Second Amendment is concise and quite clear on the matter, and it is time for elected officials of the government to listen to the will of the people. The majority has stated they wish the right and choice to carry firearms if they choose to do so or deem fit and any elected official that goes against the Second Amendment or any rights in the Constitution is not fit to fill the position they hold in the People's government.

Thank you for your time, and hope you will fervently address this matter to those in government of the great state of Wisconsin. Your past record has shown that you are a man of character and respect constitutional law and the people for which you represent, so I ask that you enact whatever it takes to address this issue.

A copy of this electrically transmitted letter has been sent to US Representative Kagen and US Senator Feingold so they may also take action to ensure that the Constitution of the United States is honored by ALL states of the Union. This letter will also be posted to the American Reformation Movement (ARM) and Jefferson’s Rebels websites for fellow citizens of Wisconsin, as well as citizens who live in states that do not honor the Bill of Rights and the US Constitution.

To Homosexuals and Liberal-Progressives of America: The Line is Drawn | by Keith Allen Lehman

President Barack H. Obama and associates recognize the demonstrators above as people performing their rights within the First Amendment; but ignores and considers the Tea Party movement as a threat or troublesome trouble makers, despite the fact that Tea Party advocates, or those who protest the trampling of the ConstitutionBig Government, high taxes, and vision of a New World Order and North American Union that destroys America's sovereignty and power among the nations of the world.

FIRST DRAFT: Resolution Asking Political Candidates to Complete a Standardized Constitutional Literacy Test | by EricaThunderpaws

Anyone taking the time to read these words already realizes that the U.S. Constitution is in danger of being totally corrupted by our representatives in Congress, and especially by President Barack Obama, who ironically specialized in constitutional law!  I fail to appreciate the humor in that irony.

This dangerous situation did not happen quickly.  Over a period of many years Congress has proposed laws that do not comport with the U.S. Constitution, and with so many of those laws left unchallenged, they have eroded the founding principles of this country.  These unconstitutional laws are like a flood that erodes the course of a meandering stream.  In the early stages of the process, you don't notice the erosion, until one day something floods the stream with such unmitigated force that the stream becomes a fast-flowing river going in the wrong direction.  Barack Obama and this Congress are like that flood, knocking down every constitutional principle we believe in.  They are destroying our Constitution and our country through legislation as surely as a flood destroys a stream.

It is up to We The People to build some dams to prevent further destruction of the Constitution.  To that end, I have a proposal to make to my readers.

My primary purpose here is to enlist your help with the development of a Resolution that encourages political candidates to take a constitutional literacy test as a prerequisite to running for any elected office.  My first draft is available below.  Anyone who has a suggestion for improving this Resolution is invited to contact me using the comment section below, or with the contact form in the sidebar.

If you like the resolution as written, then feel free to bring the document to the attention of local media, online blogs, your political party leaders, and of course everyone you know who shares your profound concern.

It will require a groundswell of grassroots support for this concept to capture the public's imagination, and then to become a reality.

First Draft - Resolution Requiring Political Candidates to Complete a Standardized Constitutional Literacy ...

Second Amendment is Quite Clear, at least to the Literate | by Keith Allen Lehman

Let’s talk about the Second Amendment, and at the same time let’s settle an argument once and for all, an argument that began as early as the 1800s. It is a discussion that often is in heated argument with radical opinions on both sides; however, opinions do not change the rule of law and those set of laws are in the Constitution and its amendments. The basic Constitution of the United States was written to provide the ground rules of government and addresses its limitation as well as its extent of power.
A recent wire release from the Associated Press entitled High Court Looks at Reach of Second AmendmentMarch 2nd 2010 demonstrated that people are still arguing over an amendment that is concise and easy to understand; and yet fail to understand that all states that are part of the union of the United States must comply. State governments are allowed to add to the Constitution but not pass any laws or articles within their state constitution that counters those they agreed to when becoming a state.

“Everyone wants to live at the expense of the state. They forget the state wants to live at the expense of everyone.”
Frederic Bastiat (1801–1850)

Assuming Bastiat is correct, what ideas or reforms could be developed that would make people better aware that government wants to live at their expense?
