Reindeer Stew & Sarah Palin's Alaska

I really enjoyed watching last sunday's episode of "Sarah Palin's Alaska". Watching Mrs. Palin on the Father/Daughter hunting trip brought back fond memories from my own childhood family hunts...It made me hungry too! If you are throwing a "Sarah Palin's Alaska" watch party or for some extra Christmas fun try this recipe for Reindeer Stew:

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 pound reindeer meat cubed
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 cups carrots sliced
2 1/2 cups potatoes cubed
3 1/2 cups beef stock

Flour meat and brown in hot oil. Add stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat cover simmer one to one and a quarter hours or until tender. Add vegetables. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Skim fat. Makes four servings.

Serve with Baked Alaska Cupcakes and enjoy while watching "Sarah Palin's Alaska", or trimming your Christmas tree and singing Christmas Carols with your family!
