In October of last year, Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported
that heroin deaths have doubled from a 2010 study compared to a 2012
study taken from state health departments mortality files for the
period 2008-2012. The Northeast (211.2%) and Southern (180.9%) states
had the largest amount of overdose deaths.

Omnibus Funding Breakdown and the New Obama Foreign Policy Move
President Obama signed
the 1,603 page Omnibus
Appropriations Bill that totals to $1.1 trillion, after passing
Congress, that will keep the government operating through September
30, 2015.
It includes an additional expenditure
of $25 million for Ebola
emergency preparedness and response fund.
It includes $3.4 billion to fund the
“fight” against ISIS,
for the air campaign and replenish weaponry already used, as well as
$1.6 billion to train and equip Iraqi allies.
The Internal Revenue Service fund was
cut $345.6 million and VP Joe Biden will not get a raise.
