How many times have you watched a suspenseful movie, and believed that you fully understood the main plot, only to discover a surprise subplot at the end of the movie that proved you wrong? Damn it! Why didn’t I see that subplot coming? With that thought in mind, I would like you to consider the possibility that the falderal surrounding President Obama’s eligibility to serve as President resembles such a movie with a subplot twist.
In the opening scene of the Presidential campaign, Democratic Sen. Barack Obama decides for inexplicable reasons to put his personal documents under lock and key. No one is allowed to view his passport records, nor his elementary school records, nor his college records, and especially not his doctor-endorsed birth certificate from the hospital. No, indeed, the public is expected to vote for a blank-slate candidate.
The plot thickens during the opening scenes of the movie when Obama makes a contradictory promise to run the most transparent White House in history. Human nature being what it is, conservative elements of the American citizenry become apoplectic at this dichotomy. How can Obama claim transparency when he keeps his personal information secret? Little do these citizens realize that this element of the plot is a deliberate smokescreen to divert attention from the more damning subplot, which has yet to be revealed.
This smokescreen becomes a raging fire when the left-wing media and motivated bloggers get involved in the action scenes. We all know how the media loves conflict. It’s their bread and butter. It’s what keeps their juices flowing. We know how shallow their reporting can be. And we also know that most of the media are Democrats. So, their role in this movie is to use the bully pulpit to ridicule contrarians with pejorative labels, and to misuse citizenship terms to confuse the issue. Throughout Obama’s movie, the media, unwittingly or perhaps willing, aids and abet’s the motives of their beloved protagonist, Barack Obama. With the fire of outrage blowing in only one direction, all eyes are focused on the birth certificate firestorm alone -- not on the hidden subplot.
Because of the movie’s intense focus on birth certificates and other documents, the audience is deliberately encouraged to think about documents which may actually be irrelevant to Obama’s eligibility to serve. By doing this, our protagonist is “faking out” the audience.
So far in the movie, Obama et al have been quite effective at hiding the most damning subplot, which is that Barack Obama fails to meet the definition of the term “natural born Citizen” since he holds dual citizenship with the U.K. through his father. Our Founding Fathers fought mightily to prevent anyone with dual allegiances from becoming Commander-in-Chief. Several investigators (here, here, here, here, as well as numerous others) have attempted to educate the public, but the media’s campaign to support their hero has successfully muted and marginalized those voices. Even some conservative pundits have swallowed the false premise of the movie.
As a university lecturer who taught constitutional issues, our protagonist, Barack Obama, knows full well that he does not qualify for the Presidency. Thus, he lit a match to create a conflagration about his birth certificate, intending to divert the audience’s attention away from the damning subplot. This subplot is Obama's Achilles Heel. I believe it can and should result in his impeachment. Furthermore, I think that those who abetted this crime should also be indicted, whether they are Democrats or Republicans.
