The following article dates from 1994, yet as you read it you will realize that Democrats never change.  Their liberal/progressive ideas are as unhealthy for the nation as termites are unhealthy for the foundation of your home. This commentary was written following the 1994 Gingrich revolution in Congress.  Let's hope for deja vu in 2010.

Liberal Democrats and termites

Well, the liberal Democrats have been voted unceremoniously out of office.
And the gravy train they were accustomed to fueling with our tax dollars will hopefully roll to a screeching halt.
I'm still delirious at the outcome of the midterm election -- and not just because my taxes may be brought under control.
I'm happy because, to my way of thinking, liberal Democrats and termites -- the order "isoptera" -- have a lot in common.  Both are renowned for forming societies that gnaw away at the architecture for a thriving human community.
