DoE Plans to Propagandize Your Children To Accept Anthropomorphic Climate Change

Count me among those who would like to shut down the Department of Education, and one who supports school choice as determined by free-markets--let state tax dollars follow students to the schools of their choice.  These ideas become even more important when we discover that the Department of Education is taking on the role of propagandist for the Obama regime.  They plan to educate the little children to believe in anthropormorphic climate change, so that as the children mature, they will unthinkingly support cap and trade legislation, global taxation, and other statist means to deprive Americans of their freedoms and their hard-earned money.  I say, keep your hands off my kids' minds!

"Today, I promise you that under my leadership, the Department of Education will be a committed partner in the national effort to build a more environmentally literate and responsible society," said Education Secretary Arne Duncan."

U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan vowed on Tuesday that his department would work to make American children into "good environmental citizens" through federally subsidized school programs beginning as early as kindergarten that teach children about climate change and prepare them "to contribute to the workforce through green jobs."

“This week’s sustainability summit represents the first time that the Department is taking a taking a leadership role in the work of educating the next generation of green citizens and preparing them to contribute to the workforce through green jobs,” said Duncan. “President Obama has made clean, renewable energy a priority because, as he says, it’s the best way to 'truly transform our economy, to protect our security, and save our planet.'

  1. They propagandaize them for many things already. Just seems like even more justification for abolishing the Dpt of "Education" which would save some tax money in the bargain.

Local schools should be controlled locally!!
