Sexual Depravity Breeds Savage Jihadists

After the 9/11 tragedy, everyone was searching for answers as to why the terrorists attacked us. The question continues to plague us because of a growing network of individual terrorists and terrorist cells in the U.S.

Rather than rehashing the usual opinions, I chose to research the role of sexual repression, because women in Muslim cultures are in every sense of the word kept under wraps. The idea seemed logical to a Westerner like me, and also because the underwear bomber, Abdulmutallab, spoke of his sexual torments. When I started my research, however, I did not realize that I would discover sexual depravity in the holier-than-thou Middle East. Westerners have been somewhat ignorant about sexual mores in the Middle East, and I include myself in that group.

Now I'm completely convinced that the root of the terrorist problem is sexual obsession, rather than repression, and this depravity is fueled by the Qur’an and the Hadith.

What I have learned is shocking, so readers are warned that if you follow the links within this article, you must do so with full knowledge that what you read and see will very likely be offensive, and in some cases, gruesome, but this may be the only way for you to understand the devil we face. I might add, the same Islamo-fascist devil that some believe should rule the world.

By now we all know that imams inspire jihadists to become martyrs with a promise of sexual paradise, but the details of that promise aren’t widely known to Westerners. Mohammed is claimed to have said, “The smallest reward for the people of Heaven is an abode where there are eighty thousand servants and seventy two wives, over which stands a dome decorated with pearls, aquamarine and ruby, as wide as the distance from al-Jabiyyah to San'a.”

Mohammed Atta reminded himself of these promises in a letter to himself penned just before 9/11. He wrote, “Read al-Tawba and Anfal and reflect on their meanings and remember all of the things God has promised for the martyrs. . . Know that the gardens of paradise are waiting for you in all their beauty, and the women of paradise are waiting, calling out, 'Come hither, friend of God.' They have dressed in their most beautiful clothing.”

Various sources even describe the womens’ physical attributes. While nothing is said about their souls, which seem not to exist, the virgins (or houris) will have wide and beautiful eyes, be eternally young, hairless except for the eyebrows and the head, white(?!), 60 cubits tall and 7 cubits wide, voluptuous, and will have other sexual attributes I’m not inclined to mention here. To ensure eternal happiness, the martyrs also believe:

. . . "Each time we sleep with a houri we find her virgin. Besides, the penis of the Elected never softens. The erection is eternal; the sensation that you feel each time you make love is utterly delicious and out of this world and were you to experience it in this world you would faint. . .

Perhaps this promise of endurance is made to them because they are also offered prepubescent boys for sexual pleasure. You don’t hear that in the news, do you?

Apparently, pederasty is common in the Middle East, even though some claim it doesn't exist any more. Westerners may wonder why pederasty is permitted in an Islamist society where homosexuality is forbidden. This is one answer:

If there is no beard. It is not a man. Therefore it is not homosexuality, and totally within the rights of a Muslim man to take little boys, sodomize them and use them in the manner that Allah has pre-ordained.

Similarly, an encyclopedic explanation says:

Islam has been another force shaping the ways in which same-sex love is understood and practiced in the Middle East. The valorization of youthful male beauty is found in the Qur'an itself: "And there shall wait on them [the Muslim men] young boys of their own, as fair as virgin pearls." (Qur’an 52:24; 56:17; 76:19). Islamic jurisprudence generally considers that attraction towards beautiful youths is normal and natural. The Hanbalite jurist Ibn al-Jawzi (d. 1200) is reputed to have said that "He who claims that he experiences no desire when looking at beautiful boys or youths is a liar, and if we could believe him he would be an animal, and not a human being." (James T. Monroe, in Homoeroticism in Classical Arabic Literature, p. 117) However, anal intercourse (liwat), is proscribed and men are advised to be even more wary of attraction to beautiful boys than to beautiful women, through religious injunctions exhorting them to resist this temptation. It is related that the Prophet Muhammad enjoined his followers to "Beware of beardless youth for they are a greater source of mischief than young maidens." (Murray and Roscoe, 1997, passim)

Stephen Brown wrote about this kind of child abuse in Front Page Magazine:

The Islamists’ interest in boys as sex objects is generally owed to their beliefs and social milieu. Their strict religious convictions do not allow them to be with a woman outside their own families, let alone touch one, before marriage. Moreover, in some Muslim countries, males can’t even catch a glimpse of the demonized female form because of the body-encompassing clothing she is forced to wear. In such a gender segregated environment, homosexual behavior develops, especially towards boys.

Even the Taliban, which executed homosexuals when it ruled Afghanistan, could not eradicate the sexploitation of boys, even in its own ranks. Among the 30 commands it issued to its fighters, Rule No. 19 forbid them from taking young boys without facial hair into their barracks. After the Taliban regime fell, a Fox news report indicated pederasty in Afghanistan returned to its previous place as an accepted social norm.

The consequences of Islamist misogyny, gender segregation and sexual abuse of Muslim boys are far-reaching. Besides growing up to be sexual deviants who collect child pornography and may victimize other children, such sexually traumatized Muslim boys are predisposed to become involved in terrorism as a way of expressing their sexual rage. It therefore comes as no surprise that one anti-terror source told the Times: “A way of finding who the extremists and terrorists are is to go through the child porn sites.”

Child abuse doesn't end with little boys. Westerners are generally aware that arranged marriages are common in Muslim countries. However, most are not aware that marriages in Iran, for example, are permitted with girls from 13 up, but also girls as young as seven ". . . if a physician signs a certificate agreeing to their sexual maturity." As if that isn't bad enough, the Ayatollah Khomeini is claimed to have said that having sex with infants is acceptable. If you followed that link, you will have also learned that Khomeini cited Islamist's teachings on bestiality.

With respect to child pornography, British police have discovered that terrorists are using pornographic images to transmit secret messages. The report says:

It is not clear whether the terrorists were more interested in the material for personal gratification or were drawn to child porn networks as a secure means of sending messages. In one case fewer than a dozen images were found; in another, 40,000.

British security sources confirmed that such a link had been discovered in several cases. They noted the contradiction between people supposedly devoted to theocracy and Islamic fundamentalism and their use of child pornography. “It shows that these people are very confused,” a source said. “Here they are hating Western decadence but actually making use of it and finding that they enjoy this stuff.”

In the previously cited Front Page Magazine article, Brown confirmed:

European security officials first discovered child porn images in a Muslim extremist’s possession when they raided a mosque in Milan, Italy, in 2001. Embedded in the disturbing images, though, they found hidden messages sent by fellow Islamists, causing Italian security agents to believe the terrorists were copying a clandestine method paedophiles use in communicating with one another. At that time, police believed this form of communications camouflage (called steganography) accounted for the child porn’s presence in the mosque.

But other, less doubtful, cases have cropped up since then. When arrested, Abdelkader Ayachine, a suspected Muslim terrorist currently awaiting trial in Spain, possessed almost 40,000 child pornographic movies and images, a number far exceeding any need for encoded communications. Ayachine was connected to the Casablanca bombing terrorist group that killed 45 people in 2003 and stands accused in the Spanish court of inciting jihad and recruiting fighters for the Iraq war. Prosecutors say his child pornography collection consisted mainly of “minors having sex, among themselves and with adults.”

After what we've seen so far, we should no longer be surprised that Islamist paedophiles become jihadists. Unfortunately, the sexual depravity doesn't end with pederasty.

November 2008, terrorists struck in Mumbai, killing nearly 200 people. Less reported to the public was the fact that some victims were said to have been sexually tortured and mutilated. Psychology professor, Dr. David Gutmann, analyzed the terrorist's drive to mutilate this way:

Psychologically speaking, torture and mutilation followed by murder as practiced most recently in Mumbai are the most complex of the shame-dispelling procedures, in that they expunge shame at the cost of incurring guilt: Even the most hardened terrorist will likely feel some qualms of guilt as he mutilates the body of a still living young woman. But for the members of a Shame culture, the feeling of humiliation is the most traumatic, and heavy prices are willingly paid to be rid of it. The aim of torture is to reveal the cowardice and femininity of the foe, and in so doing to export the torturer’s hidden shames onto the enemy, while co-opting his store of courage and hardihood – the masculinity – that he has given up, screamed away, under the knife. The enemy’s terror, castration and invaginated wounds confirm the torturer’s successful projection of his own covert and shameful womanliness and/or homosexuality: “Clearly, he and not me, is actually the woman.” In the murder which – as in Mumbai - follows this projection, the Jihadist kills off the qualities that he despises, now conveniently discovered in the person of the other: “This coward deserves nothing but death.”

Unfortunately, diagnosing the aggravated Shame syndrome will not lead to a cure. The Jihadists, whether in Mumbai or Palestine, can only be killed or jailed.

The Islamist's world is not alone in its depraved sexual practices. We have plenty of our own practitioners in America, which the jihadists seem to be attracted to. However, an important difference between Westerners in the US and Islamic jihadists is that we do not have, as a rule, laws or religious systems that condone physical or sexual abuse of any kind, especially of children. Certainly, Christians are horrified at the very concept. In contrast, polygamy, honor killings, pederasty, child sex abuse of all kinds, bestiality, and sadism are sanctioned to one degree or another by the Qur'an, the Hadith, and the Islamist imams who interpret their sacred texts. Sadly, this perpetuates barbarism, and creates an unending supply of terrorists for the future.

Psychiatrists should be taking a lead on this issue, and educating our leaders, the media, and the public. Until Westerners fully understand the evil we face, and look for pragmatic solutions, we will be in perpetual danger.
