It's A Republic, Not A Democracy or Democratic Socialist Experiment

The Founders in deciding what form of government was to be established, made the decision by examining what type of governments were being used around the globe and those throughout history of civilization. At the time the predominant government type was the monarchy. England had established a monarchy like that of the classic Roman republic where there was one head of government with a body of representatives of the people; being a monarchy with a parliament instead of a senate. Later England would remove the monarchy with a prime minister that was chosen by vote by the people and parliament became more than just an advisory committee of a king or queen. But before that occurred, the American colonists, who wanted better, more direct, representation sent King George a Declaration of Independence in defiance to a monarchy that refused to listen to the people.

Government IS The Problem - Let's Find A Solution Now

In Ronald Reagan's Inaugural Address in January of 1981, he correctly stated:

In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.

Raphael Bostic, Forbes, wrote:

The interstate highway system, California’s aqueducts and UC higher education system, the Panama and Suez Canals, national parks, the Internet, a sustained rural power grid, many small city main streets – these accomplishments and others have helped improve quality of life and economic productivity. They would never have happened without the vision, energy, and resources of government. So government can clearly be the solution.

The Internet, for example, was not created by the government and neither was the power grid. It was invented and put into implementation by private sector inventors with a vision and visionary investors. The Internet has done so well because government was only allowed limited control, but that is soon to change with the control freaks of the Obama administration. Indeed, Bell Telephone was the first communication entity, which was handled by the government until the US Supreme Court decided it best not to be a monopoly entity and turned it over to the private sector.

Reflections: 21st Century Beginning Not As Hoped

Reflections after looking at visits from an international audience, I can see that the Internet belongs to the People – not governments. This is true no matter what nation you live in. Once upon a time, the United States was a role model – not for democracy, but for the constitutional republic, freedom and liberty, and the rule of law For the People and By the People. Because of our bankrupt foreign policy, perpetuated by politicians who approach problems with the same failed domestic/foreign policies; we are no longer looked upon as such.

This does not mean that I have given up on my country, or not loyal to my fellow Americans, or intend to use the apologetic approach of Obama and Kerry; but looking at problems objectively with an agenda toward true reformation. That can only happen by We the People and that being true for all people from any nation.

English is the unofficial language of the United States, although recently 'Progressives' in the central federal government (and some state governments) have an agenda to make it bilingual with Spanish as the secondary language through Progressive social engineering. It is instituted by only offering Spanish in the educational system, deleting choice, and demanding that two years of a foreign language (in this case, Spanish) be a prerequisite for a college/university degree. Devious, to say the least. The educational system has the funds for sports and progressive curriculum, but not for offering language courses other than Spanish. Traditionally, German and French were included in the curriculum. At the rate of the growth of Chinese influence and subversion, that may include the Chinese language; and the agenda of Islamic global theocracy, Arabic may be also included.
