Real Solutions Require Truth Concerning Problems

One of the items on BH Obama and friends’ list in subduing the rights of the Second Amendment, which the Supreme Court has finally recognized it the way it was written and meant by the framers who wrote and approved it, is having the CDC perform a study on firearm violence. That study is done yearly by the FBI and Obama knows that the CDC will ensure that the study goes the way he wants it to – thus the reason for not using the FBI annual reports.
It is well known that last year and this year was a record sale of firearms and ammunition because people fearing that there will be a ban and they will not have firearms around just in case. Yet, in 2011, the second time the firearm sales surged, the crime of violence rate dropped 386 for every 100,000 citizens, (1992 was 752) of which 4.7 per 100,000 (1992 was 9.3) was the murder rate. It is because more citizens (law-abiding) have firearms in 2011 than in 1992. It is because state government finally conceded because of the Supreme Court decision that the Second Amendment meant that lawful, law-abiding citizens have the right to own, carry, and use firearms for defense.
In 2011, FBI data shows there were 323 murders committed with rifles of all types. Firearms perceived as “assault” weapons (which citizens do not own, only military and law enforcement units) were in that count of 323, but less than one half percent of those types of firearms were used for murder.
Compare the 496 murders committed with hammers and clubs, and 1,694 murders with knives.
Is the Obama government calling for a ban on hammers, those that look “dangerous”?
Is the Obama government (and like-minded state politicians) calling for a ban upon clubs, like baseball bats, or knives?
Drunk drivers cause 9,695 deaths in 2010, much more than deaths involving firearms – are automobiles or certain types of automobiles on a ban list? Teen driver deaths have also increased due to driving under the influence and distracted driving (texting on their cell phones for example).
One good move about this discussion over firearms is requiring background checks (including mental instability and drug use/abuse) in order to purchase firearms anywhere. That is the common sense approach to this problem, which as usual the government is behind the curve. Government always address things long after issues have become problematic.
Back to the statistics … most violent crimes, murder with firearms, are associated with gangs and/or drug cartels (the latter with the help of Attorney General Eric Holder).
Mark Alexander and Star Parker describe this phenomenon taking place in urban welfare plantations. And, much of today’s problem is because Americans have allowed democrat-socialists to create welfare state policies that does nothing in decreasing the “poor” population in America.
The culture of America has degraded society, not gun control that is the root of the problem. It is because the type of gun control they have initiated and continue to try to initiate only detracts from liberty and rights of lawful citizens, not criminals.
BH Obama lived in Chicago, and like Mayor Bloomberg in New York City, is a crime and corruption ridden city. In Chicago more than 500 murders occurred in 2012. And, barely into the year 2013, it appears that the murder rate is getting higher – a place that suppresses lawful citizens the right to liberties of the Second Amendment. So only cops and bad guys have firearms or allowed to use them. Gun control really works, does it not?
Obama lies when he says he does not want to reduce liberties under the Second Amendment, he, Eric Holder, Dianne Feinstein, and others have been trying it for years.
When Clinton passed the assault weapon ban in 1994, the Washington Post stated:
No one should have any illusions about what was accomplished. Assault weapons play a part in only a small percentage of crime. The provision is mainly symbolic; its virtue will be if it turns out to be, as hoped, a stepping stone to broader gun control.
The Feinstein ban legislation expired in 2004, the Department of Justice wrote:
Should it be renewed, the ban's effects on gun violence are likely to be small at best and perhaps too small for reliable measurement. Assault weapons were rarely used in gun crimes even before the ban.
There are, presently, 60 million firearm owners in the United States. That is five million less than the number of votes Obama got in 2012.
As Mark Alexander wrote:
If Obama, et al., really want to reduce our "national epidemic of violence," they should focus on reforming the government policies that created the socialist urban plantations where most violence occurs. The proposed "assault weapons ban" and other efforts to restrict, register and ultimately confiscate lawfully acquired guns used for lawful purposes is both an affront to our individual human right of self defense and our corporate responsibility to defend our Constitution. (Ask New Orleans registered gun owners about the consequences of gun confiscation from law-abiding citizens in the chaos after Hurricane Katrina.)During the 20th century, tyrannical socialist governments in Germany, Russia, China, Korea and other nations murdered more than 100 million of their own people. But first, before committing their systematic slaughter, these regimes disarmed their citizenry. If you are not a gun owner, that's OK. But I suggest you thank every gun owner you know, because in states with few gun restrictions, violent offenders can't tell which homes have armed occupants and which don't. And incarcerated offenders report that the number-one factor in choosing a victim is the ability of the victim to defend himself or herself.
Every one of the mass murder incidents in schools, Movie Theater, shopping mall, et cetera, occurred in a posted “Gun Free Zone”. How many lives could have been saved if just one of those killed or injured had a legally concealed firearm?
The media constantly compares other nations who have draconian gun laws, yet murder per capita is twice the rate of the United States in the United Kingdom.
According to Mark Alexander the pacifist, Mohandas Gandhi stated:
Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest.
Never trust any politician; whatever political ‘club’ they may be a member of when they identify citizens who insist upon a constitutional government and upon exercising their rights and liberties as radicalism and anti-government wackos. It is an admission to their ulterior motives.
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms ... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. ... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants.Cesare Beccaria

Do you think it is just coincidence that all this anti-Second Amendment and firearm control is at the same time that the Obama administration is agreeing with the United Nation's newest firearm confiscation global programs

For those of you who believe this is all over-reaction:
