SAUDI BILLIONAIRE DID HELP OBAMA INTO HARVARD

[Readers will understand the backstory to Cashill's article if they first read a Daily Inter Lake article. Ed.]
In late March 2008, on a local New York City show called “Inside City Hall,” the venerable African-American entrepreneur and politico, Percy Sutton, told host Dominic Carter how he was asked to help smooth Barack Obama’s admission into Harvard Law School 20 years earlier.
The octogenarian Sutton calmly and lucidly explained that he had been “introduced to [Obama] by a friend.” The friend’s name was Dr. Khalid al-Mansour, and the introduction had taken place about 20 years prior.
Sutton described al-Mansour as “the principal adviser to one of the world’s richest men.” The billionaire in question was Saudi prince Al-Waleed bin Talal.
Given, the game-changing nature of this revelation when it surfaced in late August 2008, the Obama camp and its allies in the media, particularly Politico and Media Matters, shifted into overdrive to kill the story. Through a series of denials, lies and slanders about Sutton’s mental health, they succeeded.
The story, however, has come back to life. The elusive al-Mansour was a guest on the BlogTalkRadio show, “The National and International Roundtable,” Sept. 19, 2012.
In his introduction, the host openly acknowledged that al-Mansour “made news in 2008 when it was revealed that he had been a patron of President Barack Obama and had recommended him for admission to Harvard Law School.”

Against Sharia Law: Saudi Woman Arrested For Driving A Car
Innocent photos of this woman driving led to her arrest after she posted them onlineBy Daily Mail Reporter
May 21, 2011
Authorities detained a Saudi woman on Saturday after she launched a campaign against the driving ban for women in the ultraconservative kingdom and posted a videotape of herself behind the wheel on Facebook and YouTube to encourage others to copy her.
Manal al-Sherif and a group of other women started a Facebook page called 'Teach me how to drive so I can protect myself,' which urges authorities to lift the driving ban. She went on a test drive in the eastern city of Khobar and later posted a video of the experience.
Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world to ban women - both Saudi and foreign - from driving. The prohibition forces families to hire live-in drivers, and those who cannot afford the $300 to $400 a month for a driver must rely on male relatives to drive them to work, school, shopping or the doctor.

Women are also barred from voting, except for chamber of commerce elections in two cities in recent years, and no woman can sit on the kingdom's Cabinet. Women also cannot travel without permission from a male guardian and shouldn't mingle with males who are not their husbands or brothers.

Whoopi Is Clueless About Madrassas - If Only She Would Do Her Homework
Recently, Whoopi Goldberg appeared as a guest on the Bill O'Reilly show on Fox. This interview took place following a dust-up between the two personalities on The View during which O'Reilly said "Muslims killed us on 9/11". Goldberg walked off stage in a rage, believing that O'Reilly's comments were racist. That incident aside, I guess I shouldn't have been surprised, but was anyway, when Goldberg said that she didn''t know what a madrassa is. Madrassas have been discussed many times in many venues, yet Goldberg was clueless. What else should we expect, I guess, from starlets who beam their ideas out of Hollywood? O'Reilly tried to explain that the madrassas are being used to train radical Islamists.
Whoopi needs to do some homework, as do some who read the Huffington Post. Today someone posted the following comment on the Huffington Post:
O'Reilly is spreading ignorance.
The word "madrassa" is Arabic for school, and is commonly used throughout the Arab and Islamic world to refer to any place of learning in the same sense that, in the United States, the word "school" refers to a primary school, a high school or a university. It can be a secular school, a vocational school, a religious school or a technical school.
The negative connotation of the word "madrassa" as it's come to be understood in the English-speaking world--as referring to a place where fundamentalist, Islamic instruction is combined with anti-western vocations, or in the extreme, as a place where terrorists are formed ideologically--is largely an American and British conceit. It is for the most part, but not entirely, inaccurate."”
Oh, really! Then perhaps Whoopi and the person who penned the above remark should watch the video below and read the accompanying article. If you're a Whoopi fan, please direct her attention to this BBC video.
Saudi school lessons in UK concern government
BBC.co.uk
November 21, 2010
BBC Panorama found that more than 40 Saudi Students' Schools and Clubs are teaching the official Saudi national curriculum to about 5,000 pupils.
One text book shows how the hands and feet of thieves are chopped off.
The Saudi government said it had no official ties to the part-time schools and clubs and did not endorse them.
However, a building in west London where Panorama obtained one of the text books is owned by the Saudi government.
[snip]
One of the text books asks children to list the "reprehensible" qualities of Jewish people. A text for younger children asks what happens to someone who dies who is not a believer in Islam - the answer given in the text book is "hellfire".
Another text describes the punishment for gay sex as death and states a difference of opinion about whether it should be carried out by stoning, burning with fire or throwing the person over a cliff.
In a book for 14-year-olds, Sharia law and its punishment for theft are explained, including detailed diagrams about how hands and feet of thieves are amputated.

Graphic: The Democrat Party Says "HELL, NO!" To REAL Energy Independence
By Steve Everley on January 28, 2010
Yesterday, Senators Jim Webb (D-VA) and Mark Warner (D-VA) wrote a stinging letter to Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar over his most recent delay on offshore drilling, this time for an area off the coast of Virginia estimated to have 130 million barrels of oil and over one trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
The announcement of delay against which the Virginia Senators are arguing came from the Minerals Management Service in a meeting that was behind closed doors and off limits to the press.

Heritage Foundation
Abstract: Conventional wisdom holds that offshore oil and gas production harms the surrounding environment. This blanket "wisdom" ignores the fact that the largest source of marine hydrocarbon pollution is offshore natural oil seepage. It also ignores the fact that offshore oil production has lowered the amount of oil released into the ocean by reducing natural oil seepage, especially in areas with active offshore oil seeps, such as California's Santa Barbara coast. This Heritage Foundation analysis cites studies, developments, and biological facts that demonstrate often-overlooked benefits of offshore oil and gas production.Slow-Walking U.S. Energy Security
Investor's Business Daily
Energy: Interior Secretary Ken Salazar announced Monday that his agency would look into drilling for oil in the Atlantic soon. It sounds good. But a glimpse at the strategy suggests Salazar's real aim is to block drilling.
