In late March 2008, on a local New York City show called “Inside City Hall,” the venerable African-American entrepreneur and politico, Percy Sutton, told host Dominic Carter how he was asked to help smooth Barack Obama’s admission into Harvard Law School 20 years earlier.

The octogenarian Sutton calmly and lucidly explained that he had been “introduced to [Obama] by a friend.” The friend’s name was Dr. Khalid al-Mansour, and the introduction had taken place about 20 years prior.

Sutton described al-Mansour as “the principal adviser to one of the world’s richest men.” The billionaire in question was Saudi prince Al-Waleed bin Talal.

Given, the game-changing nature of this revelation when it surfaced in late August 2008, the Obama camp and its allies in the media, particularly Politico and Media Matters, shifted into overdrive to kill the story. Through a series of denials, lies and slanders about Sutton’s mental health, they succeeded.

The story, however, has come back to life. The elusive al-Mansour was a guest on the BlogTalkRadio show, “The National and International Roundtable,” Sept. 19, 2012.

In his introduction, the host openly acknowledged that al-Mansour “made news in 2008 when it was revealed that he had been a patron of President Barack Obama and had recommended him for admission to Harvard Law School.”

Vetting: Desperate, Obama supporters portray all who look into his past as "birthers." Now they ridicule efforts to find how a pot-smoking slacker got into Columbia and Harvard. 

But Obama's college records are a legitimate campaign issue. Mysteries abound, chiefly concerning his transfer to Columbia and ascension to Harvard. Voters, moreover, have had the benefit of knowing other recent Democrat White House hopefuls' course work and grades. If there's nothing to hide, why not release these academic records? Why is the White House stonewalling? An objective press corps ought to be curious. But it has by and large refused to pursue the issue, even though it hectored George W.  Barack Hussein Obama Senior was forced to leave Harvard in 1964, prior to the completion of his doctoral thesis, according to documents released under the Freedom of Information Act.  Jack Cashill comments today on what they tell us about the fairy tale narrative propounded by candidate Obama (II), a story that is demonstrably false, yet was uncritically accepted by the media and political establishments.

The entire cache of documents can be seen here, and they tell quite a story about Obama Senior's truncated academic career. Sally Jacobs of the Boston Globe, writes about the elder Obama's career at Harvard and his subsequent decline and fall. She has biography of the BHO Senior coming out in July, and that should cast further light on Obama's birth certificate father.

Obama: Citizenship Checkmate?

Since Obama wants to play cat and mouse games with the American public, I may as well join the game by offering up another theory for journalists, biographers, and historians to consider. 

Barack Obama's personal life is not an open book, in large part because the man deliberately keeps many details under lock and key.  There are a number of questions he prefers to leave unanswered, such as:  was he adopted by his Indonesian stepfather; who funded his college education; what were his grades in school; what scholarships if any did he receive; what kind of visas did he acquire; what passport(s) did he use as a child, a teenager and an adult; what's the name of the doctor who delivered him and in which hospital; was he really born in Hawaii or elsewhere?  (Sorry, the COLB doesn't answer the latter questions.) To ensure that all of these questions and many more remain unanswered, Barack Obama has paid massive sums of taxpayer money to his lawyers, and perhaps to others, to keep a lid on certain areas of his life's story.  Why? Why? Why?

I don't know the answers, but my gut instinct tells me that a person with nothing to hide would never go to these lengths to keep the public he claims to serve in the dark over mundane questions such as these.  His behavior does nothing to build trust.  His declining poll numbers certainly indicate he is losing popularity. 

Here's how the game works.  Let's assume just for the sake of argument that Obama fails, not only the "natural born Citizen" test, but also the citizen test.  (In case you didn't know, there is a difference in definitions.)  Let's also assume that as a young man, Obama didn't necessarily want to become an American citizen, but he did want to milk America for its lifestyle, perks, privileges, and maybe even a little bit of fame.  How could he achieve those goals, yet retain his foreign citizenship (wherever that might be)?  It's relatively easy -- obtain a green card.  Assuming the above scenario were true, there are two typical ways Obama could have acquired a green card:

Where professors rule, life is cruel.

That is the bottom line for the average American in this, the transformative age of the president the New York Times and Washington Post has called "Professor" Obama, who "schools" the ignorant at home and abroad. Never before have so many with so little humility gathered together in our government, each believing he "is the smartest guy in the room."

This is an administration stuffed with academics. And not just any academic: These are educators from elite universities, the kind of experts prized by a political and media elite seeking confirmation of a worldview that expects, notes the Washington Examiner, "the rest of us ... to shut up and do as we are told."

Inside the Beltway, "Harvard know-it-allness" is a prized commodity; outside, its practitioners are largely regarded as "obnoxious and arrogant" in the classroom and "jaw-droppingly incompetent" out of it. Small wonder trust in government has hit a fifty-year low.

Another truism, and a justified indictment of the media, circulating the net in emails:

I think it is remarkable that within a week of Tiger Woods crashing his Escalade, the press found every woman with whom Tiger has had an affair in the last few years, with photos, text messages, recorded phone calls, etc.

And, they not only know the cause of the family fight, but they even know it was a wedge from his golf bag that his wife used to break out the windows in the Escalade, not only that, they know which wedge!  And each and every day, they give America more updates on his sex-rehab stay, his wife's plans for divorce, and his plans to return to the pro-golf circuit.

Obama has been in office for over a year now, and this same press still cannot locate Obama's official birth certificate, or any of his papers while in college, or how he paid for a Harvard education, or which counry issued his visa to travel to Pakistan in the 1980s as Barry Soetoro and even Michelle Obama's Princeton thesis on racism.  It just can't be found.

Yet the public still trusts that same press to give them the whole truth . . . Truly remarkable!

In my view, "cannot" should be replaced with "will not".  Furthermore, "trust" of the press was wavering years before Obama entered the picture.  However, when Obama walked onto the media stage, the press' groveling, apple-polishing, brown-nosing, bootlicking, yes-man, fawning coverage reached its pinnacle of self-destruction.  We, the American public, will never, ever, trust the lamestream media again!  A pox on their houses.
