There's a quiet in the Shire these days.  And in Bree in the northwest of Middle-earth, the Hobbits stay close to their Smials, their "hobbit holes."  Meanwhile, the legacy media declares their end as a powerful political force.  They only wish it so.

The legacy media has declared the Tea Party irrelevant.  It no longer matters.  Sure, they mattered back during the 2010 election.  Even the most dedicated shills have to admit that.  But that was back when the Hobbits rallied behind their favored congressional candidates, those who espoused their beliefs.  And the Hobbits sent many new faces to Congress.

But in the eyes of the Big People there, those lifelong denizens of the Halls of Congress, those professional politicians of both parties, the Tea Party was made up of rubes, oafs, and peasants.  Little People.  And the Big People saw that reflected in their candidates.

Near the final scene of the Lord of the Rings films, Gandalf crowns the new king and proclaims, "Now comes the days of the King."  The crowd cheers.  The new king kisses his queen to be.  The crowd applauds.  Then the king the approaches the four Hobbits: Frodo, Samwise, Peregrin, and Meriadoc.  The Hobbits bow to the king.  He stops them, saying, "My friends, you bow to no one."  And the king leads the crowd in kneeling before the Hobbits.

That's something akin to what the Founders had in mind for the United States of America. 

One year from this November 9^th, the Hobbits march to the polls.

Perhaps it's a good thing that the U.S. Senate didn't take up a resolution on Barack Obama's status as a "natural born Citizen" in 2008 – as members did for GOP candidate Sen. John McCain while both were seeking the U.S. presidency.

The Democrat might not have qualified under the requirements the Senate, including Obama, a co-sponsor and then-senator, put in the resolution, including the demand that the candidate have "American citizen" parents.

It is not like Jonathan is a relative unknown, his blog proudly advertises his street creds, VOTED THE #1 LEGAL THEORY AND LAW PROFESSOR BLOG OF THE TOP 100 LEGAL BLOGS BY THE ABA JOURNAL IN 2008. And as can be seen in the screen shots below, he is the darling of the Liberal Left Media.

Obama vs McCain: Handwriting Analysis of Their Signatures

This video was created in 2008 during the Presidential election. In a brief and amusing interview, a handwriting expert is asked to analyze Obama's and McCain's signatures. His comments may surprise you. Viewer warning: one signature supposedly shows sexual peculiarities by its owner, and the other, psychological difficulties.

Take a very close look at the summary of Senate bill S.2678 on the left and Senate Resolution 511 on the right (click to enlarge).  Note the names of the sponsor and cosponsors, and note the dates!  Even though S.2678 did not get past committee, it served its purpose in the media, especially when Sen. McCaskill pushed through Senate Resolution 511.  They hoped to put the public's mind to rest about eligibility for the presidency." After that, these players felt ready to sail ahead into the election without kickback from the public.  Or so they thought!

About a year ago a blogger called Zapem published this article to explain how and why Obama's nomination for President was engineered. The facts remain the facts, regardless of the time since Zapem's telling words were written, so every now and then we must remind ourselves of the people who ignored the Constitution for personal gain and power.

If one were to look at the activity on Capitol Hill during the campaign, there would be no question in their minds that both McCain and Obama were sweating the “natural born citizen” issue.
How do we arrive at that conclusion? We take McCain’s ingrained, glib advice and “Look at the record, my friends“.

Doing just that, we find that back on February 28, 2008, Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) introduced a bill to the Senate for consideration.  That bill was known as S. 2678: Children of Military Families Natural Born Citizen Act.   The bill was co-sponsored by Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL), Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY), Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ), and Sen. Thomas Coburn (R-OK).
