Paul Ryan may be Barack Obama’s worst nightmare. On the day after Obama launched his re-election bid with a soft, ambiguous, and oddly passive ad imploring people to come to his rescue, Ryan and his team have released a sharp, focused three-minute video on his plan to rescue America from its looming debt and entitlement crises. Obama and his fellow Democrats have chosen not to lead for short-term political gain. Ryan fills the leadership vacuum in three minutes, explaining the nature of the crisis in easily-understood terms, and the solution to it — cutting spending. If we don’t do that now, the federal government will have to take nearly 50% of the American economy in 40 years to meet its obligations:

Rep. Paul Ryan Throws Down The Fiscal Gauntlet

The contrast between the GOP's fiscal leadership and the Democrat's fiscal leadership abilities and priorities couldn't be more stark.

On April 5th, Paul Ryan will submit a budget proposal for 2012 which, if implemented, will cut trillions from the federal budget over a period of ten years. Ryan's budget will tackle entitlement reforms in a fair and equitable way. Until now, no party or politician has taken such a bold and courageous step. Paul Ryan is unafraid.

In contrast, the Democrats have only one plan in their collective brain, and that is to tax-spend, tax-spend, and tax-spend. They are the "I want it now generation", and damn the consequences to our country.

Republicans want to secure America's future for our children and grandchildren. They're willing to tighten the money belt now in order to succeed.  Their ideas are sane and altruistic in the truest sense.

Democrats motives are selfish. They want to secure their political power by laundering your tax dollars and mine through the pockets of their crony capitalist and union friends.

Too bad Ryan isn't running for President in 2012.

New GOP Plan Cuts $Trillions--Fox News Sunday

Paul Ryan is a brilliant, creative, and courageous leader.  Ryan stunned Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday when he stated the GOP will soon propose a budget that tackles entitlement programs head on, but in a gradual way that gets our debt on a downward trajectory. They will lower the tax rates and broaden the base, so no tax increases are needed. Ryan disarmingly agrees with Wallace that the GOP will be giving the Democrats a political weapon to use against them. However, he argues that our country can no longer kick the can down the road. We must deal with the problem now. So, the only way the Democrats can succeed is if they lie to the American public.  If they follow that tactic, Ryan said "Shame on them."
