Government IS The Problem - Let's Find A Solution Now

In Ronald Reagan's Inaugural Address in January of 1981, he correctly stated:
In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.
The interstate highway system, California’s aqueducts and UC higher education system, the Panama and Suez Canals, national parks, the Internet, a sustained rural power grid, many small city main streets – these accomplishments and others have helped improve quality of life and economic productivity. They would never have happened without the vision, energy, and resources of government. So government can clearly be the solution.
The Internet, for example, was not created by the government and neither was the power grid. It was invented and put into implementation by private sector inventors with a vision and visionary investors. The Internet has done so well because government was only allowed limited control, but that is soon to change with the control freaks of the Obama administration. Indeed, Bell Telephone was the first communication entity, which was handled by the government until the US Supreme Court decided it best not to be a monopoly entity and turned it over to the private sector.

Ben Affleck Demonstrates Hollywood Hypocrisy

Ben Affleck made the news involved in a scandal concerning the progressives who operate the so-called Public Broadcasting System (PBS). The gist of it is that Affleck pressured to not release that his ancestors were slave owners while involved in a PBS documentary. Progressives, some erroneously called them "liberals", like to water down and change words to suit their political and cultural propaganda. In this example, censorship is replaced with flowery words/phrase: "collective collaborative process" - key word for socialism is "collective".
The problem with PBS and the NPR (National Public Radio) is that it is big government propaganda and narrow minded - subsidized by your tax money. The question why has never been answered and Congress has never sent its socialist agenda into the private sector where the PBS/NPR would solely rely upon funding and paid advertisement.

Tax Season Again - Income Tax Still in Effect

It is tax season and the deadline for filing income tax is fast approaching. It is another year that the government continues its decades of a fraudulent, oppressive, and unfair tax system. It is also another year that politicians campaigning for president or Congress have continued to push aside this important issue that has had a solution since 2000 via H.R. 25: Fair Tax Act. It is also another year that the IRS continues its corrupt and oppressive actions that defies constitutional law. It is a system that is right out of the Marxist system of taxation that regulates consumption, controls behavior, redistributes income and wealth, and has a vast network of dossiers on all citizens.

My Brother's Keeper: An Obama Social Program

Huffington Post  image
My Brother's Keeper program was initiated and created in February of 2014. The White House email touted:
A year ago, President Obama announced "My Brother's Keeper," a new initiative designed to address the opportunity gaps faced by too many young people in America, and boys and young men of color in particular. Yesterday, the My Brother’s Keeper Task Force was proud to release a report showing the progress we've made in the past 12 months. When he announced this initiative last year, the President explained how he grew up in a "forgiving" environment, how the people around him in school and in his community pushed him to work and study hard.
Those that have bothered to research the background have revealed who those mentors and people were that “pushed Barack Hussein Obama to work and study hard” were:
Stanley Ann Durham – Barack's mother was a 1960s liberal feminist and an atheist. Little is written about his mother's political views and affiliations, but she certainly influenced Barack.

Big Government: Democrat Plans To Make It Bigger

Barbara Lee [D-CA]
The Democrats in their never ending quest for bigger and bigger bureaucracy and under the umbrella of their promotion of the illusion of Utopia, as described by Karl Marx, Representative Barbara Lee of the California's 13th congressional district has submitted H.R.1111: To Establish a Department of Peacebuilding. The bill was assigned to a congressional committee on February 26, 2015. It is cosponsored by two other Democrats: Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) and Rep. Jared Polis (D-CO). Rep. John Lewis serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means, which the bill must pass before final draft sent to the House floor for a vote and then on to the Senate. Hopefully it will never make it out of committee.

Obama and the Internet

The US Department of Internet ...
Beginning in 2012, the year morons kept him and his crew in Washington, even after a myriad of scandals and the truth about Benghazi was revealed two months before November 2012 election; Obama has been systematically been working at Federal control of the Internet. He and the progressives are seeking a means to increase the tax revenue in order to fund overspending that has doubled the national debt that the Bush administration left; of which Obama used in his campaign in order to look good to the public. Pointing fingers does not solve problems, as Obama and friends have amply demonstrated. It takes action. Voters have not figured out that pattern when considering candidates for office. It is easy to condemn a political opponent - but demonstrating that their solutions are better is more important than sleaze campaigning.

Our Federal Government Treats Illegal Aliens Better Than Our Veterans

There are organizations that support brave men and women of the armed forces to get help navigating the bureaucracy of the Veterans Administration - but they are privately funded with no help from feds.

Another Executive Order: Feds Take Over More Land

The kind of president we have now is the kind one wonders what he is going to do next …
I received an email from Rep. Cynthia Lummis who is trying to stop another federal land grab.
I reprint the letter from Rep. Lummis from her venue she calls “Cattle Call” in Wyoming …

Federal Government: Its Scope and Cost NOT Acceptable

The following information comes from a 2009 census breaking down the departments and agencies of the United States federal executive branch. Demand for constitutional and economical downsizing has been called for in recent decades with no results. For example, why is there a department overseeing housing that includes housing welfare funding? That department can be greatly reduced while keeping government out of of private sector concerns.

Federal Government Chooses What Laws to Enforce

The federal government, those operating OUR national government, chooses constitutional laws that fits their ideology - and has been doing so for more than five decades.
Examples ...
  • Immigration laws, the most tolerant of any nation, has been ignored by presidents of both political factions - the result is plain to see and has come to be a major national security threat where, technically, the United States is being INVADED.
  • The federal government has involved itself to counter religious beliefs and practices, and the US Supreme Court has taken no action. Case in point: Same-Sex Marriage. Marriage certificates are issued by the states; therefore it is the jurisdiction of state/county government when it concerns marriage. Recently the Door County government has refused to issue marriage certificates to same-sex couples; but that was overruled by a federal judge. State rights are clearly described in the US Constitution - but the federal government ignores it and the US Supreme Court turns its head because justices do not comply with their oaths of office by upholding constitutional law.

National Science Foundation Wasting Tax Dollars - Thomas Jefferson Should See This

Thomas Jefferson stands out among the Founders because of his prolific writing and varied talents in which he made major contributions as a politician, statesman, diplomat, intellectual, writer, scientist, and philosopher. Jefferson committed his presidency toward the protection of civil liberties and minority rights, and he also promoted the education of the “masses”. His brilliant scientific mind welcomed technological change. He founded the University of Virginia, established as a secular institution in 1819 after he left the presidency. Jefferson believed that libraries and books were important in individual and institutional education and designed the university around its library. Virginia did not establish free public education in the primary grades until after the Civil War during the Reconstruction Era.

The Writing Is On The Wall For Democrats in 2010

They say a picture is a worth a thousand words.  In this case, the picture displays the words that are foremost in the public's mind when they think about government.  This is a "word or tag cloud" compiled by Gallup.  What more needs to be said other than, "See you at the polls!"

Congressional Spending: Hypocrisy at its Worst, Spending at the Most

Your tax dollars are being spent with large food bills in Congress, along with bottled water and the business as usual spending.
House members spent part of their Members Representational Allowance during a nine-month period between 2009 and early 2010. [*]
If you are a food vendor/caterer, like CapitolHost, 61 legislators and 20 congressional office personnel would be using your catering service at taxpayer expense totaling to at least $169,143 during the period mentioned above. This is only a partial expense.
Texas Republican Michael Burgess spent $17,515 on food and House delegate for Northern Mariana Islands [†] spent the most at the tune of $23,457 – his chubbiness testifies to his consumption.
Interns and Pages spent $4.4 million.
The House spends about $1.4 million per month on travel vouchers.
Congress spends $1.2 million on paid newspaper subscriptions. [‡]
The total for congressional food spending is $604,000 for nine months.

I Want My Bailout

UPS, Fannie Mae, GMC ... bailouts ... but congressional members think they should not extend the unemployment compensation (paid for by American businesses across the nation) for the regular folks who are having difficulty finding employment with all those jobs President Obama and his czars keep telling us is appearing.

Obama Adds to Long List of Big Government Czars

Do any of you readers know who Donald M. Berwick is?
Most likely not, but the medical world, American hospitals and doctors do.
He is known to be a crusader against the American health care system and its worse enemy. [I] His idea for fixing the problems of the healthcare system is to destroy it and rebuild it from foundation up. He is considered a revolutionary and congressional legislators, Democratic and Republican alike, are not comfortable with his ideology … so President Obama has made him the Medicare/Medicaid czar by appointment when Congress was closed for the Independence Day break.

Big Government - Pete Stark: Example of Who People Vote For

Representative Pete Stark is not a representative of the people, but the representative of Big Government, the concept of American socialism; born and raised in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin who has had three mayors who were members of the Socialist Party of America and a total of six mayors within the state of Wisconsin who have been members of the Socialist Party of America.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in general engineering in Massachusetts in 1953, he served in the United States Air Force and then attended the Haas School of Business at the University of California in Berkeley, receiving an MBA in 1960. In 1963, he founded the Security National Bank that grew to a $100 million company with branches within ten years - at least one branch bailed out.

Two Americas: Gluttonous Government Employees vs Private Sector Employees

Two Americas
By John
Powerlineblog.com
June 1, 2010

There are, indeed, two Americas: the increasingly straitened world of the private sector, where jobs are competitive, money is scarce, and job security is, for many, nonexistent; and the lush world of the government employee, where competition is more or less unknown, salaries and benefits often double those available to private workers, retirement is ten or more years earlier than in the private sector, and it may take a felony to get fired. This is the central economic conflict of our time, between lavishly compensated and ever more gluttonous government employees, and wealth-creating private citizens who are increasingly unable to support their public-sector masters in the style to which they have become accustomed.

So This Is What Change Looks Like

So This Is What Change Looks Like

"The most dangerous special interest is Big Government and President Obama is its lobbyist."

In this video Rep. Thaddeus G. McCotter (R-MI) speaks on the floor of a virtually empty House. His voice and his thoughtful words remind me of President Ronald Reagan. He speaks the truth plainly, yet his voice has Reagan's rich timbre and cadence, resonating into your very being. Conservatives would do well if they would call upon Rep. McCotter to speak for our values. Republican leaders--are you listening?
