The Founders in deciding what form of
government was to be established, made the decision by examining what
type of governments were being used around the globe and those
throughout history of civilization. At the time the predominant
government type was the monarchy. England had established a monarchy
like that of the classic Roman republic where there was one head of
government with a body of representatives of the people; being a
monarchy with a parliament instead of a senate. Later England would
remove the monarchy with a prime minister that was chosen by vote by
the people and parliament became more than just an advisory committee
of a king or queen. But before that occurred, the American colonists,
who wanted better, more direct, representation sent King George a
Declaration of Independence in defiance to a monarchy that refused to
listen to the people.

Christians: "We will vote for the man or woman who will give us government small enough to allow liberty, but big enough to preserve it."

Economists tell us how the economy goes, but God tells us how it should go.
Christians know what God hates: oppression of the poor, stealing, and covetousness.
The rich must not oppress the poor. The rotten deals between big business and big government are an odor of death in Heaven’s nostrils. Big government will always be in the hands of looters and moochers with the money to buy favors.
Both parties reward donors with graft, favorable regulations, and special laws while ignoring the rest of America. It sickens me to see President Bush and President Obama declare some corporations “too big to fail” while the jobless rate grows. Big corporations hire lobbyists and lawyers to escape regulation. Mom and pop struggle to run a business, but are strangled by regulations designed to enshrine special favors to those in the economic aristocracy.
Most American Christians favor small government because we know that large government will always fall into the hands of those wealthy enough to buy favor. Public servants face inevitable corruption becoming bureaucrats bloated on boodle.
The power to do great good will corrupt, the power to reach utopia will corrupt absolutely.

Obama Is Deaf To Financial Words Of Wisdom
Why I'm Not Hiring
By Michael Fleischer
Wall Street Journal
When you add it all up, it costs $74,000 to put $44,000 in Sally's pocket and to give her $12,000 in benefits.
With unemployment just under 10% and companies sitting on their cash, you would think that sooner or later job growth would take off. I think it's going to be later—much later. Here's why.

Canada, Land of Smaller Government
By Jason Clemens
Wall Street Journal
When Americans look to Canada, they generally think of an ally, though one dominated by socialist economic policies. But the Canada of the 1970s and early 1980s—the era of left-wing Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau—no longer exists. America's northern neighbor has transformed itself economically over the last 20 years.

Continued Constitutional Crisis - Thoughts of Impeachment
One thing after another, after performing poorly in the Gulf oil spill crisis, President Obama and associates continue to push their socialist agenda.
The U.S. Treasury and Labor Departments will ask for public comment as soon as next week on ways to promote the conversion of 401(k) savings and Individual Retirement Accounts into annuities or other steady payment streams, according to Assistant Labor Secretary Phyllis C. Borzi and Deputy Assistant Treasury Secretary Mark Iwry, who are spearheading the effort.
The Obama administration, Congressional activists, Ford Foundation, and Rockefeller Foundation are engineering a new regulation and incentive for more taxes. It is amazing how much Obama has learned from studying FDR’s New Deal philosophy and Saul Alinsky – an ideology based on Marxism. The scheme is over $2 trillion dollars in bonds to be sold this year and foreign buying is on the wane. China says it has enough ‘invested’ in America . The goal is to force Americans to convert their 401(k)s, like ObamaCare, and IRAs into government-controlled retirement accounts.
The government hasn’t solved the problem with Social Security, which would be helped if it was turned over to the private sector over a period of time. Now the government wants to add yet another form of retirement directed and controlled by government. Looking at the record of Social Security and Medicare – who do they think they are kidding?

Social Justice: Codewords for 'Church of the Government'
The Ugly Side of Social Justice
By Sean Parr
AmericanThinker.com
Behind the social justice banner lurks an ugly choice.
Nineteenth century French thinker Frederic Bastiat's summation of free will is quite succinct: "Society has for its element man, who is a free agent; and since man is free, he may choose -- since he may choose, he may be mistaken -- since he may be mistaken, he may suffer."

A basic understanding of free will elicits a particular truth about God's ordained relationship with man: that He wishes for us to obey Him, but for us to obey Him 'freely'.
[snip]
If it is agreed, for instance, that charity is a desirable human action, should charity therefore be a forced action? And if charity becomes a forced action -- if governments, rather than citizens, mandate its application -- does it cease to be charity? Is it reduced to mere obedience?

The term "social justice" is now commonly used by leftist activists, clergy, educators, judges, and politicians to describe the goal they seek to achieve with many of their policies. No precise definition of "social justice" is ever offered by the left. Instead, the term is always used in a vague way -- as if everyone already knows, or should know, what the seemingly well-intentioned phrase "social justice" means.
So, what exactly is "social justice?"
Social justice is the complete economic equality of all members of society. While this may sound like a lofty objective, what it really means is that wealth should be collected by the government and evenly distributed to everyone. In short, social justice is communism. It is rooted in the Marxist idea that the money people make, and the property they own, do not rightfully belong to the people who make the money and own the property.
